HISTORY
In early to mid 2025 The Ministry of Defence’s Material and Procurement Agency travelled to Sweden to conduct trials in the recently ordered CV9035 Mk.IIIC. The main purpose behind this trial was to test the Firepower and mobility of the new vehicle, wich the Danes who operated the vehicle said was very convincing.
In late 2024 Denmark signed a contract with BAE Systems for 115x CV9035 Mk.IIIC, and was a part of a joint procurement agreement between Sweden and Denmark to modernize both countries military capabilities. These Mk.IIIC will then replace the aging CV9035 that has been in service of the Danish army since 2007/8. The first wagons are expected to be delivered trough 2027 to 2028.
The Mk.IIIC Features 35mm Bushmaster III chain gun wich is now capable of firing airburst and programmable airburst ammunition, greatly improving it’s defense against drones and other aircrafts, as well as infantry. It has two integrated Spike LR anti tank guided missiles on the right side of the turret with 700mm of RHA penetration, wich significantly improves it’s defense against heavier armored vehicles such as mtb’s. The vehicle has also been equipped Iron Fist Hardkill APS, wich is capable of intercepting guided missiles in an 360 degree radius, this is an extremely important feature, greatly improving it’s strength in battle. The 35mm cannon was choosen over the 40mm Bofors due to greater versatility and ammunition capacity and variety, not to mention availability.
IN GAME
As Denmark has ordered 115 of these vehicles that will be delivered in 2026 and when they arrive will highly likely be modified a little bit further some time after arrival, this could be a great addition either foldered with that or potentially added trough an event. Depending on how it would be added, either as a part of the Swedish techtree or in a better way, a part of a Danish & Norwegian techtree.
