My question is why can’t we have a CV90 mk.4 with gun upgrades ? Such as 35mm / 40mm / 50mm auto cannon? Obviously people are gonna start with the 30mm but give them the option that the vehicle has not everyone is gonna just run the 50mm I’ve seen people bring the premium 35mm cv90 into 12.7 matches and do great. Also why not give the IFV’s add on armor most of them at top tier have this option IRL ? They will still be going against MBT’s with 550 + pen so what’s another 30 - 50mm of armor gonna hurt ? Just a thought and curious to see how many people agree with me.

It’s difficult for us to get a better CV90. Currently, the CV90mk4 in the game is just garbage, and Gaijin hasn’t given it what it deserves. Unless there is a premium CV90mk4 in the future, the problem will never be solved
Gaijin is likely going the route of implementing all the MK.IV versions and is starting with the earliest showcased one. I would be very surprised if they don’t release 35mm, 40mm and 50mm versions in the future at higher BR’s (and the AKERON missile, radar and IR search and track features on some of the versions).
a nice merkava, magach implementation path
I know that’s what they are gonna do but split it up like the Puma’s. One of the CV90’s have it have the spike with the option of the 30 or the 35 and an add on armor option then with other the Akeron and the option of the 40 or 50 with the add on armor and an APDS option
I wouldn’t say it’s garbage I’ve done pretty alright with it it’s just I noticed right away that the 30 is lacking. When you have that rouge T-80 or T-90 pop up on ya and you have to unleash some Ukrainian style fury the Mk.4 with the 30 just doesn’t have the punch that say the Strf 90 BIL does with the 40, the 40 has saved me multiple time cause it seem like 2/3 hit with the 40 to the barrel it’s gone but with the 30 it seems like I hardly damages it and I end up going back to the hanger. Not only that but the 40’s penetration is obviously better so you can actually hit the cannon breach and have a chance seeing how the armor on the CV’s can’t stop 12.7 half the time.
welp i’m starting to give up more and more on this thing
amount of times i’ve hit people in the autoloader/turret ring on the side flat without penetration is getting stupid
Hit analysis only tends to show 1/3 or so of my hits and the ones it bothers showing do actually pen but it didn’t do so in the actual match, so can’t tell if i’m just getting gaijin’d most the time here or what
Do you think that’s why there are no arrows heading down with the cv 90 mk 4? Oversight or hopefully they intend to folder all those variants together though my cynical estimates say gaijin wont do anything at all

I think a vehicle has to be above a certain BR for it to count as an “End of the line” vehicle and count towards the nation bonus. It’s less common in the ground trees but there are several examples of this in the air trees.
I don’t think it’s likely that we’ll see the 40mm and 50mm bushmasters unless they’ve been showcased on the Mk.IV, Gaijin doesn’t exactly tend to be generous when it comes to optional upgrades/add-ons
We might be able to get a Bushmaster IV (40mm) on a potential older model of the CV90 if this pic is anything to go on but i’m a bit unable to find much info about it

As you can see in Necronomica’s photo, a CV90 Mark IV equipped with a 50mm gun was on display at the exhibition, so I think it’s possible to add it to the game. Also, personally, the CV90 itself is designed to be able to mount a variety of main guns and turrets, so I’d love for the developers to take advantage of this and implement it. : )It would add a certain charm to the CV90 vehicle series and the Nordic tree.
@Necronomica
But i do remember we had a discussion about it before and i think the final conclusion was that the one in the pic was the 35mm configuration, no?
personally i’d prefer a system in-game that allowed a bit more freedom when it comes to optional upgrades
would love ones that are specifically tied to vehicles that are meant to be customised like this one, so you can choose which specific modules you’d want as long as they were advertised to be possible
Maybe get the 7.62 as stock which can be switched out for the 12.7 or AGL pods
The 30mm can be changed to the 40mm and the 35mm configured into 50mm
Akeron and SPIKE both being something you can switch between
Spall liner, APS and other protection add-ons being able to be be researched
and so on
Possibly having it be considered a new vehicle based on the original caliber/turret or hull
so you can’t switch out the 30/40 to the 35/50 or the 120mm
But i doubt something like this is likely to be seen in WT as Gaijin would have less options to add “new” tanks by switching out something basic
As far as I remember, the 35mm muzzle brake was supposed to be the same as the muzzle brake on the CV9035 in the game, but it seems that was different.
It’s true that the management doesn’t offer modular modifications except for a few vehicles… If that’s the case, we may not be able to see the RWS variations that are common in the West.
It’s very unclear as multiple different sources have listed a barrel with that look as both the 35mm and the 50mm.
