Custom sights

Hi, I’m having an issue with a custom sight not appearing in War Thunder.

Path: C:\Users\Администратор\Documents\My Games\WarThunder\Saves\[Your Save ID]\production\UserSights\all_tanks

File: sight_all_tanks.blk (only one file in the folder, no extra icons, not synced with OneDrive).

What I’ve already tried:

  • Placed the file in the correct folder.
  • Made sure there’s only this single .blk file in all_tanks .
  • Checked that the extension is exactly .blk (not .txt or hidden).
  • Fully restarted the game (closed completely, not just back to menu).
  • Tried Alt + F9 on the test drive (but this triggers NVIDIA Share recording on my PC, so I also tested without using this shortcut).
  • Confirmed there are no OneDrive sync icons on the file or folder.

The sight still doesn’t show up in the reticle list under “Tank Battle Settings → Sight Settings”.

I can provide screenshots of the folder path and file if needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

try restarting the game then, the Alt-9 refreshes the sight list, so if it’s being blocked the list wont be refreshed to show the new sight

not work. i just create new file like, after my games i create WarThunder\Saves\id\production\UserSights\all_tanks and add file with sights

Alt+F9 hasn’t updated the sights in a long time

Really? it still takes a long time to do something when you add a bunch of new sights and press it.

According to what I’ve seen and experienced that key combo was removed a while ago, you can only update your sights by rebooting the game now

It’s certainly not in the controls list at least

I just tested it, it still freezes the game for several second while it dose something, I’m not deleting all my sights to test if it will reload them though.

I don’t know then, I don’t have an “all_tanks” folder as I’m using FCS generator that produces the sight for each tank individually,
This is how my directory looks:
directory
The “tochka-SM2” folder has sub-folders for each tank containing their respective sights.
Other then that @Schindibee might be able to help, but I’m not sure if they are still doing much with custom sights anymore
