I went to go put on a custom sight, went in the game root folder through steam, made the UserSights folder, and in that i made the all_tanks folder. I proceed tot he the .blk folder in there like every single video and guide I’ve seen and when I boot up the game to use said sight, it isn’t there in the preview at all. However when I went to play on my friends account, also on Steam, I check his sight preview just for the fun of it, and the sights are there. I find that weird since I put the sights in my game however it works for his, and when I check back on my account, it isn’t there.

The folder you need to put custom sights in changed about a year ago ( in this update: War Thunder "Firebirds" - Changelog ).
You can also create custom sights directly in game (some limitations though).
It’s true, all_tanks folder doesn’t work at all.
Because of that, I extended UserSights to include 134 subfolders.
