What the hell is wrong with this vehicle?

Traverse …Slower
This piece of junk is such a useless vehicle your lucky if you hit anything ,by the time you get on target the planes gone or when you do aim straight the shells go everywhere except where is supposed too .
Advice would be greatly appreciated using this ,as the bofors is and was supposed to be a plane killer but this HARDLY
That’s what it’s meant for IRL, but in game it’s better at AT.
My advice, use it as AT and bring a 20mm AA for SPAA
What do you mean? It has 40°/s horizontal traverse and 20°/s vertical.
It will one shot kill almost all the time.
The 40mm Bofors IRL was used in larger numbers for blanket fire with a high chance that a single projectile could take out an aircraft. In WT this doesn’t really work since you are just a single piece. Treat it as a mid-level anti-tank vehicle instead and hunt medium and light tanks.
How about you treat it as both? depending on the situation. Most often fail to engage it and while it isn’t the best AA, it does work. It’s a heavy SPAA(Heavy refers to the cannon, not the tank).
Ex: Light AA->Machine Guns
Medium AA: Lighter caliber Cannons
Heavy AA: Heavy caliber Cannons.
It’s an easier way to figure out how the vehicle should be used or how it should be used, so your partially correct but not entirely.
Well, he was struggling to use it as an AA, so I suggested to him another way to play it.
It’s slow either because you need to unlock the mods or need to work on the crew skills.
Besides unlocking the Elevation/Vertical Drives in the mods, this is also important for aiming quicker. Along with Tank Commander for Leadership as it also improves 10% more for targeting. Then there is the Expert option once it reaches to a certain crew lvl, then there is the Ace option which also adds to improving the targeting along with many other things.
Suggest using a dedicated spot for SPAA if your going to use a SPAA.

It’s not a great SPAA, that’s why it dropped from 4.7 to 3.0
It’s actually amazing if you play it like a light tank. Something like an autocannon IFV or even the Fox.
