I mean this doesn’t really stop others solutions, it would just be nice because it would keep the upsides of copypaste while reducing some of the downsides: people who don’t own the copied vehicle in another tree will grind it normally, and people who own it already can skip it faster. What’s bad about this?
Anyway, could you be more specific on what you want instead?
Would be very nice to help move forward in a couple of trees +1
In my opinion copu paste solution is not to do copy paste. My main problem with copy paste is not that i need to research it, but that i have to play with and against it.
But huh, gaijin will never see it as problem. So that would be at least nice.
A very constructive idea and suggestion. It’s very good.
Was also thinking about this, this should happen, for example in World of Tanks Blitz if you research a gun for a tank, and another tank also has that same gun, it gets researched for both, which is cool.
I say the same thing but with modern vehicles it’s nearly unavoidable, since everyone wants their nation in the game and not just as camos and event vehicles, and that Gaijin views the addition of the copy-pastes as bolstering of lineups to anemic tech trees (Italy, for one and Japan for another), and the result sometimes being matchups that perhaps would probably never happen etc etc. Thus I see this as a proper solution 50% is, imo, generous for Gaijin’s standard despite the explaination that was provided, I’d settle for 20-30% even, but it’s all wishful thinking for now.
I voted “Yes” because any improvements to the economy are good. Do I think Gaijin will do this? No. I can’t see them giving a 50% discount on say the new Australian M1A2 simply because you own the US version.
I think the SL/RP savings would have to diminish as ranks increase. So maybe Rank I is 50%, Rank II is 45%, etc. Maybe with a modifier if the same vehicle is across several trees. Like the French M4A4, Chinese M4A4, and Italian Sherman V. They are all the same machine, so if you own two you’d get a bigger discount.
The main thing I’d rather see instead of a simple discount is unlocked ammo carrying over if it’s the same gun. If I research the M4A1 in the US tree and unlock M61, I should have M61 unlocked for every M3 cannon. That way I don’t have to do it again for the M4, M4A2, or M4A3E2. This could even apply to all nations.
