Jesus. Your assuming that if I stay in a match I’ll turn the tide of the match? What about lemmings who drive the same route and same spot to die over and over?

Talking specifically about teamwork, I don’t think that’s a community-issue, but rather game-design cause; you see: there will be more anti-air vehicles focusing on ground vehicle targets rather than paying attention to air threats, although this is another stupid example, can easily demonstrate that the game doesn’t require teamwork, it leaves to the players choice to do whatever they want: if you want to entirely focus on air targets or ground targets, if you want to snipe using heavy tanks or go to the frontlines in a light vehicle. However the War Thunder core systems just don’t care if you’re in a heavy tank, the first shot may always be the last and most deadly regardless of the vehicle.

I believe there’s multiple culprits. The main ones I can think of are:

  1. there aren’t enough planes to shoot
  2. the rewards for destroying planes is too low compared to destroying ground
  3. using non-radar gun SPAA is difficult for new players so they don’t even try

Combination of the first two can result in people not wanting to sit around in SPAA waiting for aircraft to show up, because they’re not being rewarded for their time.

Most people who use SPAA as TD, like myself, will make sure to target any air that show up. But your ground kills will still dominate due to the sheer number of targets. However, I have seen some Gepard players just put their radar down at round start and never raise them again. It’s like they forget you can pop the radar back up again.

I also one death leave because of map or seeing half the team are gone within the first two minutes then no point staying, you do indeed could turn that shit around by respawning and kill 4-5 key players each then maybe you’ll also caught some one-death leavers but the odds ain’t good for the most part.

Also don’t forget that the enemy team also one-death leaves, it’s a lot worse in br where they are premium vehicles like 10.7 and 11.7, they might respawn after their main vehicle is destroyed but you will see kv-1 or m2a2 which is nothing more than a feeder.

Already in the works:

The pack premiums with 2 tanks and an SPAA where a good idea, but so far only helps a few nations (at least they added them to the most played ones first) and only at those specific ranks.)

Another option could be adding a small reward multiplier per spawn say:
1st spawn 1x rewards
2nd 1.2x
3rd 1.4x
4th 1.6x etc

When you get sniped from 5km away for 3 games each time you spawn maybe you’d leave after dying once
