Reinstall the game or make sure your drivers are up to date, it’s a graphics engine issue so it should be either a DX12 specific issue (in which case use DX11) or simply your firmware conflicting.

Let me guess, it won’t help.

True NOTHING helped so far, I have reinstalled and reseated the Graphics cards, changed the 12V 2x6 Cable, Reinstalled the nvidia Driver countless Times but nothing helps always Crashes. Switched to PCI-E 4, switched the Monitor Refresh Rate to 60Hz. Now I have reinstalled the whole Operating System Windows 11 24H2 and completly reinstalled War Thunder and hope for the Best. If that does not help i guess the GPU is defect and RMA it.

But it is not common that WT with RayTracing fully enabled crashes all the Time yes?

It’s the broken game, not your fault

It isn’t a broken game, it’s DX12 suffering from a thread hitch due to being unable to render the scene.

There is currently an issue with the NVIDIA Driver Version 572.16 (which i think is the latest version?). if you have that version of the driver and you have the ability to install an older driver then i would try that to see if that solves the issue (might not be possible with the latest generation perhaps? unsure). Gaijin are already working on a fix and have gotten reports of the issue.

you’re the first person I know of who has a 5080

Thank you very much for the information, that helps me a lot. Then I’m happy that it’s not me, my OS or my card :D
Oh yes and an older driver version is unfortunately not possible as this is the only driver available for the 5080 so far.

@pelinelu

I got it on Launchday :)

You have no problems in other games, don’t you?

23 people that bought 5090 are affected
as well as 93 people that bought 5080
It is driver issue that affects not only latest cards from Ngreedia but older ones that updated drivers
Even if you roll that driver back issue will still persist

I have a lot of Crashes in Conan Exiles, but this Game is from 2018 so i think it may be the Game and no Crashes in Cyberpunk 2077 and Space Marine 2…

Oh boy, some more nGrEeDiA cope.

It’s a new driver for a new generation. Issues like these have arisen with the previous 3 generations, and were even prevalent when the titans received their game-ready drivers.

No cope
From burning cards
To missing ROP’s
To constantly resetting drivers
To fake frames that look worse than if rendered on Igpu

All that for one of payment of $ 3000 to scalpers since msrp supply doesn’t exist

That happens because Nvidia has removed support for 32-bit PhysX and CUDA applications without telling anybody

So all older games will suffer

It (5090) and entire 5000 series is for “Future” gaming
Any game made before 2022 will struggle with it

1 singular card… That, like always, was due to user-induced error.

Almost like every single card in the world has had a burnt cable at some point as a result of an amateur enthusiast that seemingly couldn’t get things right in the past either.

On 0.5% of cards… At this point I’ve seen 2 proven and 1 alleged, and even then the stated 0.5% comes nowhere near to the 11-15% of most other flagships. Even the 4090 was worse than this, with the 3090 being a dumpster fire on release.

What constantly resetting drivers? If you’re talking about blackscreen issues, that’s due to outdated firmware. Quite literally as simple as a BIOS update and you’re set.

Why use them in the first place? The only place where they’d be useful is in UE5.5 games that you would already be pushing 120fps at max graphics native. Hell, even Ark Ascended (despite being an unoptimized aberration to humanity) pushes a pretty steady 110fps in 4k with RTAO.

Got mine for $2.3k, what’s the issue with MSRP?

kryonax-skull
Somehow that’s a worse decision then buying the E-100

Conan exiles doesn’t use PhysX and is a preset 64 bit application with a VERY convoluted wineprefix that makes 32 bit SDKs effectively impossible to apply.

None will? Any game that features PhysX is 64 bit compatible, with any game running 32 bit CUDA being from the '90s at best. Hell, it was discontinued as a whole in 2009.
Even Falcon 2, a game from 1988, runs with an exclusive 64 bit API.

Does your entire desktop also freeze? So far 572.42 has been brutal on Win 11. Haven’t had any issues with KDE freezing, though. Newest (-.47) fixes an issue I don’t have, but I haven’t encountered it in a small bit.

I have switched from RT/DLSS to my beloved old Settings TAA with SSAA 4x and all Crashes where completely gone, so i guess its really the Game.

I think I’ll stick with the settings anyway because with Sharpen+ the picture looks SOOO good, better than with RT/DLSS.
For Conan I installed an old GTX 1070 as 2nd GPU and played the game with it, thanks to Windows 11 you can easily assign different GPUs to different applications :D.
NV has released a new driver today that should fix the blackscreen problems, let’s see how it is today.

If I have a black screen I can still talk normally in Teamspeak but to get a picture again the only thing that helps is to restart the PC…

Yes.

DX12 and DLSS still don’t work in game.
Bugs or crashes every time.

DX11 with TAA is the only stable setting
