I mean Sweden really needs a real 14.0. Well the Finnish F-18 is not a 14.0 at all. Also I think Japan should have an F-2.

Its entirely possible.
Probably will be limited in A2A fit like the Typhoon, but yeah, the overall airframe and equipment isnt unreasonable for the game at the moment

I agree with Sweden needing to get a proper battle rating 14.0 airplane but is the JAS 39 C so bad? It got all the good current weapons, and if I’m not wrong, it was one of the first 4th/4.5th generation airplanes that was added to the game.
For Japan personally, the F-2 won’t do nothing, not even a scratch. Japan suffers of a major technology gap, that at the moment, the F-2 can’t solve. It’s like, getting from the F-15J (M) to a F-35.

It has 2x Aim-9M and 4x AMRAAM (just going to ignroe the SAAF one for this) Which is pretty low AAM count for top tier these days. Whilst its got half decent dogfight performance (though 9Ms suck in a turn fight) and it will be interesting to see how the AoA limiter thingy will help it in that regard. It doesnt really have the BVR performance the Typhoon, Rafale or F-15 have in terms of climb rate or max speed.
It could be fine, but has some pretty major nerfs like the BOL nerfs which do impact it quite a lot and one of its core strength at top tier should be its CM count, but its barely noticable.
There are a load of buffs the Gripen C is long overdue for from FM improvements to even just getting bombs on the centre line rack. Also missing MAWS and more features than I’ve kept track of
Another core part of the Gripen E would be to give Sweden a decent multirole. The max A2G fit for the Gripen C, is only 4x AGM-65s and that is with no BOL and No ARH missiles. Making it one of the weakest top tier multiroles in the game at the moment.
F-16 and Mig-29 are 4th gens that were added an entire year before. Sweden and Britain were the last to get 4th gen aircraft. I dont think the Gripen C counts as 4.5. That would most likely be the Gripen E.
If I remember correctly, its A2A payload is the smallest in the top tier (13.7-14.0). Previously, its low payload could be justified by the fact that it was the most maneuverable aircraft. However, when Rafale and Typhoon were added, this advantage was completely negated.
The F-16s have the same AAM count. But the average is definetly 8+
And yeah, its fairly universally outclassed by both at the moment. (which given the Gripen E is their equivalent, isnt actually all that surprising)
It will have 7 fox 3 which will be a huge A2A upgrade over the Gripen C.
If they add it with that many. the British typhoon and harrier GR7 are missing ASRAAM as they are unbalancable and the only thing that will have that many good FOX 3s for quite some time will likely be hornet
F-15s have 8.
Gripen Es max AAM loadout wouldnt be that big of a deal. At only 9 (7+2)
minor nation treatment and the gripen is a more capable fighter so there would be balance nerfings
Oh yeah, definetly, but then they just need to C&P the Gripen Cs FM for that, just with a better engine.
The E should have come with EFT and Rafale, and it is a joke that it didn’t.
It would also have finally given us a Gripen with a real FM presumably, instead of the hatchet job they’ve done with the C. But misconceptions from major nations folk would probably get it nerfed from moaning, again.
Hope we get it soon, with the J-10B and the Mitsubishi F-2
Yeah, it probably should have done ,especially with the Rafale coming with Full AESA, that would have been the only thing to give me pause for the Gripen E.
Gripen C MS20 would be 4th gen Gripen NG/E are 4.5 gen alongside Gripen EA and Maritime. @Константинович7 current Gripen C is a mishmash of random stuff into one fake Frankensteins monster which should be removed entirely and replaced with a histroical MS20 radar improved and new fuel efficient engine with a new cockpit and RWR. Its a niche upgrade but would help to keep it in line at 13.7

Lmao what? It would be 7 aim 120B which we have in game now and with 2 9M. How is that justified for the EFT to get ASRAAM? Im gonna assume this is just you being blatantly ignorant or just rushing to conclusion.
Technically its an improved Blue Vixen, would somehow suffer CAPTOR M treatment if i had to guess lol
