Constant Crashing since the last Major Update

Has anyone else been crashing constantly both in battle and the hangar- since the update I am regularly CTD sometimes even a crash straight after a crash and when I get back in my game is very laggy. I always get the Send Crash Dump to developers thing

It is extremely annoying when I am in battle and get CTD because I get back in to find I am dead in game. I have waited some time to see if Gaijin fix this on their own but it’s apparent that no they won’t. The Day before the Update and for some time before…not an issue

its not necessarily their problem to fix

try to clear the cache folder in your warthunder installation, and if that doesnt work maybe check your drivers or reinstall your game

Sadly no…clearing my Cache and reinstalling did not work. It literally started as soon as the update dropped. I have been killed in battle quite a few times as a result of this and is becoming a real challenge to play the game with

Are you running Direct X 12?

Yes I am running Direct X 12

After a night of testing I have discovered what the problem is…its Direct X 12 Beta, that’s the issue…in game switch back to Direct X 11 and the Crashes stop. I didn’t have a single Crash after changing this setting in game

That’s great news! Weirdly enough I switched over to Direct X 12 and DLSS and I never crashed yesterday either.

You mentioning Direct X sent me on a hunt on google…asking about DirectX and WT crashes…turns out it has a history of doing this lol I appreciate the suggestion ^^
