Fix the awful shadows and the shadows pop in on current gen consoles, also when’s ray tracing coming for consoles? You said it was comin but there’s zero news till now. They’re capable of handling it easily as seen in some games that have a ray tracing option, and to keep performance stable, make the consoles target 1440p-1800p upscaled to 4K. Its weird you guys just forced the current gen consoles to target native 4K while having no graphical changes from last gen consoles, just downgrade the resolution a bit while having almost setting on the highest (shadow quality and rendering distance should be the highest). Its insane other games run amazing on consoles while having quality close to PC ultra and you guys chose to not enhance the graphics for current gen consoles even though the game is easy to run on the highest settings on a lower mid-range PC’s. Don’t forget console gamers!
The request would be stronger if it focused on measurable console modes rather than comparisons with another game. Ray tracing cost depends heavily on the engine, scene complexity, CPU workload, object count and the specific effects being traced, so performance in one title does not prove that another can add it without trade-offs.
A practical proposal would be separate Quality and Performance presets: for example, a dynamic-resolution target with improved shadow/object draw distance in Quality mode, and a stable frame-rate target with reduced effects in Performance mode. An optional RT setting could then be evaluated per console model. Please specify the exact Xbox/PlayStation model, selected output resolution, target refresh rate and the maps/scenes where pop-in or shadow quality is most visible; screenshots or a short capture would give the suggestion a clear baseline.
