In a distasteful display of tyranny, a power-tripping chat moderator decided to ban me for 30 days from the in-game chat for “hate speech”. I have never done nothing wrong to deserve this unfair and senseless punishment, and I want to be unbanned so I can keep communicating with players during games, please and thank you.
so… as someone who had their chat ban end today, what did you say that warranted a chat ban?
Nothing of the sort the alleged moderator described anyway. Because of how often I have been losing Air RB games, I was getting a little vocal about the way people played that gamemode, but you see, moderators everywhere always seem to be the sort that goes looking for every reason to swing the ban hammer over any user who makes the slightest violation in their eyes, JUST to get a kick off the imagined “power” they feel doing it.
I am not sure if you have realized that posting this won’t improve your situation.
Even as most somehow “affected” long-term players would theoretically agree, the most likely outcome of such a post is a temp forum ban on top of your chat ban.
@hora11 - love this picture!
Sooo… you asked?
Assuming you did absolutely nothing wrong, which I honestly doubt but for our purposes lets assume you did, calling the mod a power tripper will not help your case. In my experience with WT mods the ones that I talked to were understanding and helpful as long as you are nice to them. Just dm a game master and (nicely) ask what you did wrong, trust me it will make all the difference if you do that instead of going in guns blazing and accusing people of abusing their power. Best of luck getting it appealed assuming you did nothing wrong.
If a player does nothing wrong, of course it can be appealed.
No need to grovel, just ask, with normal, regular courtesy.
If it gets offensive, it will certainly not help, and possibly cause further problems.
