In fairness, as this is a public facing website it could just be a nice way of saying “this is an amraam, ok” without diving into the technical details of different variants

The leak “educated guess” list had the HQ-11 which is a 30km SAM. I don’t think that would be the new top tier SAM that China needs, so there is likely an HQ-16 or similar system for the top BR as well.
they wont add the finish nasams, its too bad probably the norwegian one. And danish Sams can be added very soon since they will be delivered early next year, iris-t samp/t, vl mica etc.

I just watched the QnA part mentioning this feature and I feel like it might also be possible to increase the frequency of liked maps each player by simply not excluding them from the match history when filtering out repeats. That way liked maps might be repeated for each individual player, possibly making them at least a bit more common.
At least that is unless there already is a mechanic to factor in liked maps, if that’s the case it’s just another reason to like this new feature.
Gaijin said in 2019 (old forum, no links, sorry) that likes were only audience research, only dislikes and bans affected the matchmaking. No indication it’s changed.
I do think now we know it’s the top 2 that are dropped, players can coordinate better. We knew a squad of 4 can exclude 4 maps completely, with a queuing delay… But they can also put enough dislikes down between them to make a difference, and with less delay (and without needing to be premium). To get a disliked map, that would mean at least two maps have more than 4 dislikes in that matchmaker pool, which would seem pretty unlikely.
Yeah, that’s the newest I’ve heard too. But in the new system there’s now a great way to include likes while actually making queue times faster.
two SAMs ?
Just a bit of hope from my end, it would be very nice to see.
HQ-16 would be very comparable to current SAM in game so it would make sense to be added now
New SPAA for Japan?? I really hope it’s the Type 03! The Kato/Mitsubishi NK has got to be one of my favorite looking trucks. Type 11 would certainly be cool too, especially if we get to choose between what chassis the lauchers vehicles use (the JGSDF’s Isuzu 6x6 for more ammo, or the JASDF’s Toyota HMV for speed/smaller profile perhaps??)
What else could they do? Sweden itself has nothing in the cooker. Finland is its subtree and Finland fields NASAMS. So I bet thats what Sweden gets. Everything else would be a stretch.
Not really NASAM HML is used by Norway and they are a subtree. But its not 12.7 worthy or even 12.0

Like why would if you are grinding say, USSR , and have the T80UE1 , spawn the T80B , if you are below rank 5 it becomes effectively pointless.

cool, but what about game modes? I hate the mode where each team starts with 1 point each and you need to take the enemy’s point, I would much prefer to not get that mode multiple times in a row then any map. could we maybe get the option to block a single game type?
interesting, I have a lot of questions about how this will work with regards to ammunition loadouts, but it’s good to see the ODL issue being addressed
That was fun and an interesting shake up on the missile spam meta, it was nice to actually be able to fly the F-2 and fully appreciate its airframe for the first time since the missile bug.
good change and a better direction then the damage control changes… hopefully we will also see the horrid damage model of Yamato addressed too I would find all the “paper ships” being added far less annoying if the actual real ships had their proper armour layouts.
hopefully Japan will finely get a usable SPAA past the Type 87…
For me ODL is an option cause of lenghty repair times. Engine + turret basket repairs take almost 40 seconds. For me its quicker to join a new match, rather than waste time doing extensive repairs while defenseless… And getting killed 4 secs before completion anyways.
The second spawn often gets immeadetly killed by LMUR helis watching the spawn areas or set up enemy ground vehicles. In high tier its far better to just start new match on a clean map.
