Oh heck yes! Finally! Much needed addition! I really hope it’s implemented well.
I really hope you also consider my already passed suggestion on radar symbology as well, i made it long before i even became a GM ( Radar HUD IFF indicator Update ). Currently it’s often to hard to make out the symbols in many situations as well as differentiating them using IFF when the targets overlap either with the UI or eachother.

This i like, that means that if someone brings CAS and get destroyed its harder to bring CAS again but easier to bring CAP. Any plans for decreased cost for anti air loadouts on planes? Currently they cost almost 10x of an SPAA but i doubt they perform 10x better in matches.

It’s either this or removing the function all together but i think i like this option better as that is what those types of drones are used for IRL.
Honestly, the complete opposite, i’m REALLY glad that this is the case. Implementing 5’th gen without first having those mechanics in place would just diminish the actual capabilities of those aircraft into just “turns better, flies faster and has newer missiles” when what make them 5’th gen in the first place is so many other things. I honestly think this should have been the line of thinking earlier, many of the current top tier aircraft could potentially be drastically different with the release of such mechanics and might even result in the need to change their BR placement depending on what mechanic is added to the game.
I hope to see this line of thinking more often, for longer term plans and for all vehicles. Many of the mechanics of vehicles are what make them unique and interesting in the first place, not having those mechanics in-game before the vehicle is released is sort of sad and risk disappointing many players who are knowledgeable of what those vehicles are really capable of had the mechanics come with the release of the vehicle (or before the release).
In general though, lots of nice changes here and i really hope to see more QoL and game-mechanic focused updates in the future as well :)

As for the other « controversy » just above, do you know if a revamp of IR missiles could come at some point ?
It’s pretty clear that the range of MANPAD and other IR missiles against « cold » targets such as Helis and Drones is wayyy to low (cant lock a scout drone above 1.5km), which, coupled with poor short range performances, makes destroying those scout drones barely possible.
And being able to scout the entire enemy team from spawn shouldn’t be as easy as it is currently (basically only AHEAD auto cannons - which only a select few nations currently have - and top tier Sam can reliably deal with those puny drones)
Could you please add more aircraft in the 8.0 to 11.0 range. There many variants that could be added. MiG-17F, F-86H and CAC Sabres, many different A-4 variants, F-8 Crusader variants… there’s still plenty of aircraft in this BR range to be added

In the leviathan update they’ve made drones way easier to take down, ive had no issues with dealing with them now.

That new radar UI is atrocious and making more damage than good. For the love of god dont touch my keybinds i use rn. You cant even fly ur plane with the radar screen opened just like you cant drive your SPAA now.
a very complex and impossible to balance mechanic, just increase aircraft spawnpoint cost and heavily decrease the rewards (straight up cap them if you need) for killing ground targets and it will be okay.
drones are op cause you can scout through walls with them, let’s balance that out.
gaijin: the F-ing drone will have scouting (but longer cooldown and lower spawncost reduction). Yeah it’s totally notgonna be a NIGHTMARE in ground battles…

@magazine2 since some Nations will get the F-111F/Su-24M as nuke carrier, these planes feature an MAW system, the Tornado however has not an MAW in game, is it planned that this will be adressed?

Wow, now instead of scouting entire team in 30 seconds with some chance of failure by missing a marker you will be able to scout entire team in 50 seconds without any issues whatsoever! Can’t wait for people doing 0 frags, 0 caps and 0 deaths but 20 assists with drones even more :)
