The base Su-27 doesn’t, nor the -34. And as far as i’m aware, china never got the specific weapon system it was compatible with. The EF2K, tornados, Jas-39C, and F-15E have an AWACS position sharing, which is not compatible for slaving weapons.
Eurofighter can fire AMRAAMs at targets being tracked by other Eurofighters:
Yesterday [31st March 2009] we saw the success of a unique AMRAAM firing trial at Moron Air base in Southern Spain. The trial was the result of close cooperation between the Spanish and British Flight Test Centres of EADS CASA and BAE Systems, under guidance of Eurofighter GmbH, using Eurofighter Typhoons IPA4 and IPA5 - Spanish and British aircraft respectively.
The objective of the testing was to fire the AMRAAM missile from a Eurofighter Typhoon whilst its radar was in passive mode and thus “invisible” for Electronic Support Measures (ESM) Systems. The necessary target data for the missile was acquired by the radar of a second Eurofighter Typhoon and transmitted using the Multi Functional Information Distribution System (MIDS). Both aircraft were separated by quite a distance in range.
Is this available on the EF2K variant we have in game? I only have information pertaining to really early Eurofighter tranches, of which this ability is not mentioned.
Tranche 2 Eurofighters entered service in 2008, that trial took place in 2009, and Tranche 3 entered service in 2014.
So the aircraft in that trial would have been Tranche 1 or Tranche 2 standard. We have Tranche 2 in game (at least going off the German one’s name).
So another nerf to China then
