Community Update No.7: Talking About What’s Coming Soon!

either way, due to how stealth works in this game, it would be more of a slight side grade, it would effectively be a F-15C with a E forward cockpit

Who know it could also get the aim120-C7.

I have no idea what these other nations have to offer but I think a lot of people would (at the very least) be open to regional trees if there was enough substance to fill them to avoid such. I don’t envy Gaijin’s position of having to navigate cultural and geo-political landscapes, but I do think regional trees would help. For example; a South American Bloc, the ASEAN, an Eastern European bloc, etc. Again, the argument that helps this is having the content to fill it.

If Smin or Stona see this, could this possibly be something addressed in the next community update/devblog? Particularly in regional blocs and their viability in game.

Just to tack on here; its also important to remember this is just a game. I personally don’t think Gaijin is trying to take a supressive or colonial stance on any nations in-game. History can be rough and emotional but we are all here to play with military vehicles.

Sadly, meteors aren’t delivered yet, even tho they are integrated with the Indian rafales

so can all the top US aircraft

Developers have been ignoring these kinds of problems for years. I think we should dip them into their own… mistakes more often.

Sure, but maybe wait until the update comes out to see if any of this gets fixed. Also some of those issues already have topics created that you can discuss them in or you can create a topic yourself if there isn’t one already

True, my point being is that we should first focus on 4 and 4++ gen aircraft (including mechanics) before moving on to 5th gen aircraft.

I think that when the developers show the list of fixes, it will be too late. Of course, I will leave a comment again if no critical error is fixed.
There have been reports about the same trees on WT.issue for years. And tech support likes to answer ‘not a bug’.
I got tired of sitting and keeping silent and decided to remind about the problems on the forum.

If stealth is changed and modelled correctly it might be significant as the silent eagle was supposed to have 1/5 the rcs of a strike eagle, so it would’ve had the rcs of a F-16. That doesn’t mean much right now but if stealth is better modelled in the future rcs might actually matter

Terrible change, you should have prioritised fixing the spotting mechanic before adding more stuff to it and nerfing it.

There’s no nerf. Just an additional option to what spotting already offers. Please read.

So the regular spotting isnt hampered because the drone is in the air? Because that is what it says.

it does not

it says that you can scout through the drone, while being in the drone view

Written here. Surely, it would say “when you scout through the Scout UAV, the cooldown after a successful scout is three times as high as regukar scouting” if that was the case?

It is not a nerf. It is an additional option that gives the players the chance to immediately scout without using the older method. Since it’s decently faster and it would be too strong without any tuning, it will have some “penalties” when scouting WITH the drone. The older method of leaving a ping, aiming at it and then scouting is still there and is not affected by the previously mentioned nerf.

Thank you, is that from the developers or is it your intepretation of the text?

I understand it as a general penalty once there is a drone in the air, whether or not the drone is used for scouting. But i hope that is not the case.

Furthermore, i still believe they should rework the spotting as it seems like it detects targets better through 15 objects than through one bush.

Another good addition is the max scouting range with the drone, as per the most recent datamine. Makes it so the drone users cant just run to safe distances and spot from there.

The latter. Although, from what I’ve seen, it seems to be the general understanding of that section.

On that datamine:

No changes there.

The switch in code is tied to which hotbar item is active at the time / which keybind is used. (They’ve added another keybind for UAV scouting, as you’ve seen in my post.) Switching to the UAV changes the hotbar and keybind, switching back to your vehicle changes them back. As such, whether your UAV is flying or not while you’re in your vehicle is inconsequential.
