For ground forces, we plan to add new SAM vehicles for the nations who did not receive them in the previous major update: Great Britain, USSR, Italy and France, meaning all nations will now have a new SAM.

Hopefully you consider China for an actual SAM system. Unless your aim is for China to have the worst system at top-tier once every other nation gets their SAM.

We operate mainly soviet/russian equipment, the only thing we have to do with france is 150 years of colonosation and a bloody war of independence.

It’s not about the number, it’s about how good they are. TOR-M1 and HQ both feature missiles that can be dodged with half a brain-cell because of the huge smoke trail they leave. Not to mention, I’m discussing the new SAM systems that were added in the latest patch. So idk what you’re on about.

gaijin should just fix the FB10A and give it the dual saclos/IR guidance, china doesnt need a new “actual SAM system”, being spread across multiple vehicles isnt a prerequisite to being a functional AA platform

Brother, they’ve mentioned in this very post that all nations that haven’t received one will be receiving one - Italy, Britain, etc. All I said was that I hope that China isn’t left with the CS/SA5, while all the other nations receive multi-vehicle SAM systems. That’s all I said, lol. I want all nations to have multi-vehicle systems.

However, many players still take advantage by switching to a Scout UAV, put a mark, return to their tank and try to scout targets using this mark. We want to make this method a normal and balanced game mechanic by making it part of the core gameplay, so we are making some changes to how it works.

You know what this is right? they couldnt fix the scout drone exploit where you can scout through the map, so theyre making drones have the ability to scout. Players who know about the exploit will still use the exploit as there wont be a “3 times the cooldown of the regular scout”

i did test it once to make a bug report (never posted it as some CCs told me gaijin already knew about it when i showed them). I unbound the scout ping button, so i wouldnt annoy my team mates, with constant drone operator voice, used my squad ping when in a drone and placed the ping on the enemy, went back into my tank, aimed my binoculars at the squad ping, then hit scout. I did this on the small version of elalamien (the one where B is in the castle area). I sat in my spawn and had the entire enemy team scouted before anyone got to a cap.

I think they should just remove scout drones, especially since they cant fix such a fundamentally broken issue.

Scouting through Scout UAVs

In Ground Battles right now, it’s not possible to scout enemy targets through the Scout UAV. However, many players still take advantage by switching to a Scout UAV, put a mark, return to their tank and try to scout targets using this mark. We want to make this method a normal and balanced game mechanic by making it part of the core gameplay, so we are making some changes to how it works.

We will make it so that you can now scout enemy players directly from the Scout UAV. There will also be some changes to the cooldown — when you have a Scout UAV in the air, the cooldown after a successful scout is three times as big, and the spawn point reduction for aircraft will be decreased by two times as well. However, the rewards in RP, SL and mission points have not changed.

With this change, players will be able to scout from the Scout UAV instead of needing to switch back to their tank after placing a mark in order to try and get a scout (however, this method will still be here for those who want to do it). At the same time, the scout cooldown when you have a Scout UAV in the air will be longer to balance it out, and the spawn point cost reduction of planes has decreased, but the rewards will remain the same.

This is a pretty poor way to try and fix the exploit. Im assuming there is no fix to the exploit due to the way objects are rendered in this game. it wouldve been much more appreciated to remove scout drones all together rather than try and regulate what is an exploit and make an unintentional bug a feature of the game. Disappointing

May be as disappointing as releasing a premuim vehicle “hell sherman” with buggy suspension because the model of the m4a3 was just copied withought fixing the suspension despite the bug report being seen and accepted long before the premuim was released. Shame

Yes yes, i realised when i read again. Still disapointed that instead of resolving the issue they adopted it. Wouldve been happier with the removal of drones all together

eh some people like scout drones (I certainly dont hate them), I do agree they couldve gone further though, 5-10x cooldown, and no spawn point reduction (which is a terrible feature anyway and should be removed imo)

Yes. The Chinese SPAA was the worst of all the new SPAAs. Sometimes it can not even shoot down a moving jet at 4km. I hope more people would complain to Gaijin about this serious issue. Gaijin has always been ignoring complaints by Chinese players. The spall liners and better armor modelling for the top tier Chinese MBTs should also be added.

Already completed but i imagine how new players will suffer.
Also it will be better if we get AIM-9P-4 and AIM-9M (Taiwan have never used AIM-9L)

I remember Mirage 2000 have MAW but does F-16 have added it in a random patch?
