Because the spawn point changes are not fundamentally altering the game in any capacity. The intent of the change is to shift the spawn point increase from the class of the aircraft to the loadout of the aircraft.
Someone who does really well in an Su-30SM using KH-38s cant just jump into an Su-33 with the same weapons at no cost increase. As pointed out in the original post. There was nothing preventing a player from cycling between three aircraft, all using the same weapons.
Now, as a US main, I can’t just jump in a P-51 (fighter) with 500lb pounds, then a P-61 (strike aircraft) with 500lb bounds, and then a B-26 (bomber) with 500lbs and not see the cost increase.
That’s not how spawn costs work. Bombers and Strike aircraft are grouped together. Not to mention, American WW2 isn’t even that good compared to Germany or Russian.
Even then, fighters are different but still have access to the same weapons. So the increase makes sense if you are taking the same weapons.
And in regards to CAS, US dominates in the WW2 area. Sure, other nations have better energy-retaining or turn fighters, but CAS is the US’s home court and the change is for balancing/addressing CAS.
Better to have it as a squadron vehicle, Japan lacks top.tier one so it would be perfect. Also have Type 90 B as a top tier premium pack, but we will see
Buk would sadly make little to no difference when it comes to countering western CAS.
New AAs pretty much denied the only advantage RU had in GRB, so the difference in quality of ground vehicles started to show up.
A LOT of people asked for them, especially for the Italian one which is the focus of this change. It was highly requested, otherwise this change would not have taken place.
