Community Update No.13: What’s Coming Up!

Once again, please read the actual post:

The B-33 and Firefly are being added because they are Strike aircraft at ranks where there are currently no strike aircraft for Japan. So that people can use them to complete dailies, BP challenges and other missions. The Ki-51 you keep suggesting does not meet that criteria and would itself likely be Rank I or 2, so would not be any use to complete these missions (which require Rank III or above) or fill the gaps the Firefly and B-33 are filling.

I’m highlighting the Ki-109 to show you an example of a low rank / BR strike aircraft that already exists, which the Ki-51 would also sit with or near. Neither the Firefly or Avia sit at that rank and BR. Hence why they are being added right now.

I know that, but Gaijin probably won’t implement these modifications – just look at the Indonesian Mi-35.

what was supposed to be unique about the Indonesian Mi-35?

It should have Western weaponry, like the Hydra-70 and something else—I don’t recall what.

Currently not planned, as we don’t have any information it had them.

btw, how do you get so detailed models of tanks, aircraft, … ?

A variety of ways. Scans, plans, images, museum visits (where possible). A whole manor of methods to acquire visual materials.

Can we just mute him now : (

Once again, the Gannet would not be a strike aircraft. It would be a Naval Torpedo Bomber. So it does not meet the same requirement.

This is a very famous American aircraft and would not be likely to come to another nation before the US also got one too. As its not planned for the US this update, its also not an option for Japan this update.

Sadly not sufficient. More info would be needed. Please feel free to make a report when the time comes.

Oh, and on top of all this, Avia B-33 gives me a new aircraft to pump bonus RP into as I’m waiting for new aircraft to be added.

Can I also bug report the Czechoslovakian rockets? Indonesia didn’t operate them but they are still compatbile with the aircraft

Nobody claimed this was an “addition of the year” aircraft. Its a functional and practical addition that fellow players have asked for and suggested. It fills a gap in the tree that is currently open and allows people to use a Strike aircraft above Rank III for dailies, missions and other tasks that require it. So it has a functional and practical purpose as well as expands Indonesia’s presence within the game with historical aircraft they operated.

Its more than fine to express feedback about something, which you have very much made clear your feelings for at this stage. There is such a thing as overdoing it however.

Providing there is evidence for this, then sure.

I tought you cooperate with some armouries to get that plans etc. so it’s like not 100% accurate like some parts are guessed, the ones which aren’t visible to scan for example? But it’s all from public accessible info?

I’ve submitted so many suggestions for Japanese vehicles, and they’ve all been ignored. So, what am I supposed to do now? Why bother putting in the effort to research potential new vehicles for Japan if they’re never going to be added anyway? I’ve spent thousands of hours—easily at least 2,000 hours—writing these suggestions; was it all for nothing?

Yes, I’m exaggerating, but that’s because I’m angry. I took a six-month break from War Thunder because I was frustrated with the game. When the Ki-93 was added, I decided to come back, hoping for something interesting. I guess it’s time for another six-month break.
