My honest opinion is that if you are letting the enemy team roam around in helicopters and you are not actively working to spawn a jet aircraft as soon as the game starts to counter said threat, then you already failed your team.
Top tier has its own rules.
I have made a suggestion on this too actually:
(Shameless plug)
But it’s mostly concerning the air side of things but could easily be done for the ground side too.
I dont necessarily have issue with that concept except:
- CAP costs 10x more than an SPAA.
- Aircraft cant detect a hovering heli on radar, and thus cant engage with SARH or ARH weapons and you are largely limited to visually locating the target
- LDIRCM renders IR weapons unusable most of the time.
Id have no issue with aircraft being hte main counter, but the above, renders that just as problematic
So drop aircraft with only A2A weapons way down in cost. Make rotor blades actually have a PD radar signature like they should and the upcoming LDIRCM changes, and having fixed wing as a counter for helis is fine.
Oh it better be the USS England so I can

As far as I know, there is no GNSS feature on IR guided missiles (for now). There is a pseudo GNSS/INS where you can place a POI and the MITL missile/bomb will fly in that general direction, but it will not lock or look for targets on its own. Honestly, the American Apaches should have received MMW guided Hellfires, but that’s an entirely different mode of guidedance, and it’s not the game yet so.
This TD should be 5.0 or 5.3 max so is to low for be the main BP redward.
Another nerfed premiun Jagdpanther ? the only difference are minimal visual changes due Ausf. G chasis. I hope no.
Yes, Sla. version is the more suitable according the last additions for Germany. is sad how Gaijin is just limited the decent good stuff for Germany as premiun event meanwhile the TT is mostly filled by useless and nerfed stuff.
Id kill for a way to toggle the IR seeker off said weapons, so that they were pure GNSS, Ive bene having major issues with Spcie-250s not working right in NE of late, and I think its the seeker to blame and firing at a target point rather than a target
Either that or just adding GNSS only versions of multi-mode weapons, including SAL+GNSS bombs, though I do have a suggestion already up for allowing those weapons to be taken without a tpod.
Might write a suggestion for it tomorrow.
Hopefully soon
So…A Dutch Gepard, a Chinese BMP-3, A firefly and an IL-10.
Wow. Much unique.
Yeah at the moment IR/GNSS weapons can only be properly fired using the IR guidance. You can use point lock to launch further than it’s actual tracking range but it’s pretty much useless unless the target is stationary and within 30km.
There’s no way to actually use their GNSS mode but hopefully with LOAL coming with the GCS-1 we’ll see them allow you to fire on GNSS and have it’s IR seeker LOAL for terminal guidance.
They would fit really well at 9.7 where a lot of other autocannons lie.
That said I suspect it’s gonna be the Jagdpanther instead.
If they had any creativity we would get assisted loader, which you could probably even put on the G2 variant if you wanted.

Maybe a plane named after a bird with a colorful beak?

Hang on…
…here’s one more thing lurking at the bottom
I take back every single bad thing I ever said about gaijin.
Exactly, you can launch them through the POI but they most likely wont lock unless you placed the POI directly on a target that lockable through IR later (Isnt that the actual gnss guidance then? You launch them at a coordinate: The POI?). But to launch it over a mountain without direct line of sight you need the gnss guidance afaik. Which according to the Wiki and also through experience and testing in game only the LMURS and CM-502KGs have. JAGMS, Spike-ER and Spike NLOS dont (and JAGMSs according to this post wont get MITL), but weirdly enough you can launch the laser guided jagms at the poi but they will massively drift away from it.
So to Fire every agm besides LMURS and CM-502KGs you will need to lock them onto something, anything, even ground somewhere at the ao or maybe a mountain behind the ao to be able to fire.
A LMUR you can just launch through the POI as you said.
Locking them on later the MITL will come into effect.
But to be able to launch SPIKE ERs and Spike NLOS you will in lots of cases still have to expose yourself if they dont get their actual guidance modes of IMU and INS/GNSS, even if briefly. which makes counterfire at your heli from the ao possible.
why tf do yall insist on adding mtil for heli’s, everyone screams that it will ruin grb ane they dont want it…
F-35 for everyone else.
With the recent Aussie shipment debacle, even China’s getting an F-35!
For example, if you login daily for a 6 months period, you’ll have collected 15 “Freezes”
Why not 30 in 6 months ? we need a time for rest in the end of Year…
Please, give more time for us…
