There is a bug I’ve been experiencing for the past month when toggling the cockpit sight on planes. When turning the sight off instead of having a clear vision in front of me the whole section becomes a massive yellow rectangle. On some planes (for instance with the fireball or other planes that use a culmination sight that takes up your whole center vision ) in vr its impossible to see the target through the sight at a certain distances in low light/very dark sim matches and making accurate shots harder. Turning the sight off and using intuition works better for me in those situations to either take the shot or to help maneuver by using the sight off with a free field of vision then turning the sight back on to take the shot at closer ranges

I was just getting ready to take screenshots haha. Here are the planes used. Fr-1 Fireball, Fw190a1, I185 M-82, P51D30, F8F1, J7N1, A7M2 Ki-96, Yak-2 Kabb
For some reason unbeknownst to me the P61c1 doesn’t have this issue. I don’t fly this plane often so I didn’t notice this plane having no issue

These are great sceenshots, I have not seen anything exactly like this off the top of my head. I have seen some other reports/posts about reflections in the cockpit causing major issues, especially for VR players. I can’t remember who else used VR and was having issues before, I will tag them here if I can find the player I was talking to before.

And @MADSolar I know you are more of a Heli guy (still love your drone vs heli videos lol, and I hope they fix that situation soon) but do you have any suggestions/idea/heard of anything like this cockpit lighting issue that OP is having? First post in this thread: Cockpit sight bug
And/or if anyone knows of an existing bug report for this issue please let us know. I cant remember seeing one myself.

@Mike_Haggar I think we should get in contact with a mod in the next day or so if we do not get any closer to finding existing information and/or bug report. You might be the first to have found this 👍
