It can’t even differentiate missile radar types so I’m sure the pilots are extremely clueless when most of their RWR just has a big question mark lmao
Also the helicopter still hasn’t gotten proper HMD for the TY-90s; based on how disappointing the CM-502KGs are, the helicopter is definitely feels like the weakest out of the new 12.3 helis

Where did u get that from? IRIST SLM had it roughly a week before it was added to FB10A which remains the worst self guiding missile of all the 12.0 SPAAs nvm u don’t get it stock.

It is but also note no HMS link sucks. +why wouldn’t anyone just spawn a CAP which costs marginally more points or a strela for 70.

Irist spm data link isn’t the same as fb10a, I may have misspoke as it’s not data link fb10a is both radar an IR guided

I am pretty sure they are. The reports mainly went on the source since it stated ‘command update’ which is essentially automatically slaved to radar. The radar guided one is HQ10 which we do know a bit more so a lot of people and reports referred to it.
Just on the Helicopters I think the cm502kg could do with LMUR code which gives it much higher (sth like 80%) chance of ending up on the roof. Other than HMS link and 502 the RWR also sucks.
I’m doubtful I could swear one of the reason gaijin didn’t initially add said guidance is because they never did it before. I remember them saying it at least.

It is, but range is somewhat limited at 6km
The only time I find it useful is if the plane decides to come into the 6km bubble and buzz the AO or attack heli spawn but most (competent) planes at top tier just stay well enough away slinging Kh-38s, Hammers, and Maverick Gs or Ds at 10+km away or more. Plus some top aircraft have MAWS to which the TY-90s are more dodgeable if you have awareness of it.
I feel like Gaijin is factoring in the TY-90s to artificially balance the Z-10ME: “Oh, you have the best heli AAMs? Let’s give you a weaker RWR”, or “Less F&F ATGM explosive mass”, etc which doesn’t mean much when the AAM is situational at top tier battles. Least they could do is give it HMS slaving to it, which they’ve accepted the report with additional info a long long time ago.

The issue was someone submitted a report on it saying it’s the same as the Tor and HQ17 which would be true IRL except in game they are nerfed into SACLOS which means they don’t get the auto guidance. Then the ‘data link’ need to be implemented as command update which is saclos in game and IR which is the issue. If we simply treat it as data link which is fine since the game only provides one way data link that does its basic functions, it is ok to implement.

tbh gaijin needs to FIX saclos spaa, so many spaas in this game should be MUCH more automated.
like roland 3s for example, irl they arent saclos they arent aclos, theyre SARH.
or startstreak being aclos.
and ACLOS in general they need to get that fixed, automatic guidance from what ive seen seems giga jank. ofcourse saclos being insanely janky is another issue too.
so many air defense systems ingame are gimped because of crappy code.
Good luck finding any that are for sale since there is a bit of demand for them in an ongoing conflict.
Also just a thing, the rwr got a fix today.
did it not appear on rwr? and besides hows ahead on that monster cannon? any usefull at top tier? i expected them to improve the code for intercepting missiles with cannons when they added that thing.
The z10 rwr got updated to modern standards.
