You can’t even kill a T-72B with all 8 cm502kg in the test flight site. Thar is ridiculous. It’s hard to imagine that this is the performance of an anti-tank missile from after 2010 in the game. And all feedback submitted in the issue area was very quickly nab.
Any normal arms company would not develop a missile in the 21st century that cannot effectively kill enemy armored targets, unless that arms company lacks the technology and strength. Moreover, the CM502KG is a missile developed for Pakistan targeting the Indian army’s tanks. As a modern military power, India cannot possibly be unable to defend against the in-game CM502KG. As a major customer in the global arms market, Pakistan cannot purchase a missile that cannot effectively kill even tanks from the 1970s. If the CM502KG really performs as depicted in the game, then either the Indian army is weak, or Pakistan does not value its money. Furthermore, the Indian army’s tanks are also the Russian-made T-90.
The CM502KG is not a anti-tank missile.

the fact that it has an 11kg SAP warhead, that is a clear indication that it is not made to be anti tank

Today with modern conflicts we see some weirdos carrying RPG drones which are considered anti-tank drones, the 11 kg SAP charge does not mean that it is not an anti-tank missile
the explosive is hexal in TNT equivalent of 1 kg hexal = 1.54 so a charge of 11 kg = approximately 16 kg plus the fact that it is a modern ATGM programmed to hit the roof of vehicles like an artillery strike, it’s as if you told me that artillery cannot destroy a tank because the shell charge is HE
those have a HEAT warhead that is effective against some armor
11kg SPA warhead not charge, there is not enough energy there to be effective against armor unless it impacts at extremely high speeds, which the missile is clearly not designed for
someone doesnt know what SAP HE means
it is not an 11kg charge, it will be around half or less of that, most of the weight will be the casing
so for you artillery cannot destroy a tank, because next to it we have a missile which crashes on the roof of a tank so that 16 kg of military explosive (hexane) explodes on a very weakly armored part of a tank, because if the SAP does not pierce which is a big in itself of the dev server the explosive is triggered anyway which comes back to what I said 16 kg of explosive on the roof of a tank
11 kg is the weight of the charge, you must take into account the type of explosive and its TNT equivalent
CM-502 is too slow for the SAP to have any serious amount of pen. And the tiny explosive charge from it being SAP (most of the warhead mass is taken up by the semi-AP part) doesn’t do much either
it is not 11kg of explosive
given what SAP HE means and normal ratios in that size range it is probably around 5kg of explosive, so yes that is probably not enough to overpressure the roof of most tanks
11kg is not at all the weight of the charge, it is the weight of the warhead, if you knew was SAP HE meant you would understand that
The cm 502 kg is an evolution of the AR-1, these 2 missiles are therefore similar in speed and charge, the only difference is the superior range of the 502, it is said nowhere that the 502 has an explosive charge of 5 kg and neither for the AR-1 but that it is between 9 to 11 kg
It’s really not that complicated, the warhead weight they list includes the mass of the metal SAP part and other little bits so warhead weight is much, much higher than the actual explosive charge weight
here is an example, the M282 warhead for hydra rockets is a SAP warhead, the warhead weights 6.2kg while carrying 0.44kg of explosive
as you can see assuming around 5kg of explosive from an 11kg SAP warhead is a relatively generous assumption
If functioning correctly, you have to wonder why they even bothered adding it over other options available for China.
