Well, it has been over a year now since they said they would implement RP bonuses and now there’s a possibility they’re not going to work the way we hoped, so that’s fairly reasonable to get panicked about
Can’t wait to see how other vehicles look, with how in-depth the 2S38 model is.
All 57 naval players…
New nation research should be a top priority, higher than any other QoL listed
Third time it’s been postponed.
This is huge cope, now when shooting t$3 midsection of a 2s38 you’ll likely get the turret drive or ammo instead of it going right through, and when shooting the front through the fuel tank, it will probably result in the controls being damaged, from what I can see in the picture
why?
“we promissed research bonuses, took entire year to do nothing and you’ll have to wait even longer” … why exactly do we need more personal series of spindoctoring from CM’s perspective for announcements like this?
Lots of fluff, lots of vague nonsense, very little actual information. AI could probably do better.
The modules changes is probably a good thing, since you can avoid overpen without any enemy internal module/crew damage
Thank God the 2S38 is one of the first vehicles getting this change.
Those cretins are so obnoxious to kill when hull-down.
Let’s look at this, first point 5(easier) Least played modes will have a lower priority, plain and simple. Why put in so many “man hours”/labor into modes that have the smallest populations on a regular basis? Granted, they should not be ignored, but you have to consider Gaijin labor pool, it is not infinite.
Your points 1 - 4 are all basically about the same thing, BRs/matchmaking, Firstly, they cannot simply make the BR “spread” for matches 0.7, it simply will not work. A player has a 2.7 line up and could see 2.0, but could not see a 3.3. Why?, because that is 0.6 differential, not 0.7, so the “programming” would ignore it and you now have cut a good portion of prospective players from a potential match. The “steps” are “rounded off” technically it would go - 1.0, 1.33 & 1.66 then 2.0. one is rounded down (0.3) one is rounded up (0.7) and this affects the 3 steps up or down formatting. The matchmaker cannot “think” it can only do what fits into it’s programming, and a 0.7 will not fit.
In order to get a lower BR spread, ALL BRs for every single vehicle in the game would have to be altered and even then carrying out another point too 0.33 & 0.66, you still run into the same programming issue of 0.66 is not equally apart from 1.33. Dividing even numbers by 3 = equals infinite numbers. The programming cannot work with this.
Now, to address compression AND get workable BR’s for a lower spread, they could change it to a 0.75 spread by adding another “step” to a whole BR. For instance - 1.0, 1.25, 1.50 & 1.75 and so on. Again, this requires not only changing the BRs of every single vehicle in the game, but also re-evaluating each vehicle’s BR and what it can face in any given battle. Which is what the BR’s are for anyway, not how good a vehicle is per se, but what it will fight. And again, this would be a monumental undertaking basically changing the entire game. A MASSIVE amount of work for Gaijin and most certainly a major point of contention for the player base. Albeit, it would be a major decompression, prolly taking existing BR’s well past 15.0 and allowing for a 0.75 BR spread for matchmaking, even tho it would still be the same 3 “step” up & down as we have now . . . just with different numbers and smaller numbers of vehicles per BR range and adding wait time to the queue, so . . . you can see, it is not likely for Gaijin to endeavor in such an undertaking lightly . . . if at all. It is just not a simple “flip of a switch” that many seem to think it is. There are a vast amount of variables involved. And without the addition of a great many new employees to do all the work, it is not reasonable to expect it would happen in any reasonable amount of time.
I am not against a smaller BR spread for matchmaking, I am however, pragmatic enough to realize it is just not something that could be easier accomplished. No matter how much many of may want it to happen. And it is also a good thing to remember, Gaijin will never go for anything they think may lengthen wait times in the queue.
cucumber enjoyers will be a bit upset with this change lol
highly convenient when your not posting the full comments lmao - do you really think gaijin just takes fm reports at face value, accepts them and ships them out to live? No that’s not how it works, after something gets accepted and ‘passed to dev’s as suggestion’ - they first validate the source and testing method, then internally test to see if they can replicate results, validates their results in game against the source provided and then decides on any changes they deem necessary and respond to the report accordingly, then finally changes get shipped to live. In that instance, R2 responded as to why he tested the way he did - and it has been passed to devs awaiting a response.
The reason the reports are getting actioned on is because gaijin has found everything sufficient in their own eyes to warrant changes according to the supplied evidence - so if your gonna cry, cry about gaijin, its priority towards irl data and the games reporting policies (of which are actually pretty damn strict). Or better yet, if you have actual evidence to the contrary, everyone including R2 would love for it to be reported on so all things can be as realistic as possible. But if you have a problem with pursuing the realistic portrayal of aircraft in game then maybe you might have to start shifting your gaming elsewhere as wt has long since decided to slowly go down this route and shows no evidence of stopping within the foreseeable future.
this change will drastically affect fishing season
^
This is why I’m not losing it over a bug report over the J35XS’s FM.
The way I see it is this:
- The J35XS isn’t THAT much heavier than other J35 Variants. There’s no way it’s 50% worse in the flight performance department unless the swedes magically added another engine and left it in as ballast
- All J35s are over performing, and ALL of them get nerfed.
seems like we’re moving to “hunting” season?
no no, still fishing season.
Not that were not good at it, when i play naval i do good in it, just at the moment its one of the less interesting game modes
I’m really liking what I’m seeing with the 2S38 model, does that mean that autoloaders will be damageable too? I hope so, it’s about time.
afaik yeah
