true, for me the A-6 was what id heard of before lol
CM Covert Disclosures No.4: Information & Q&A with War Thunder Game Director, Viacheslav Bulannikov!
Katyusha and Ka-50 for me, although I wasn’t that interested in military vehicles in the past, more like medieval/fantasy enjoyer.
It’s bad enough a sabre can face an F-117.
I don’t want an A-10 anywhere near sabres, migs15s. Much less banshees, meteors, hortons and the like. It’s weird enough that early vietnam war aircraft can see it.
this very nice change but i feel a lot of accounts will be targeted by account stealer.
i hope you add two step verification reminder so players remember to added it and don’t get hacked !
Easy money for Gaijin then.
Yeah, and it shouldn’t have to, if you’re rate fighting a Sukhoi you haven’t splashed with your SPAMRAAMs, that’s on you.
It might help those aircraft if they had their fictional loadouts removed and put down in BR.
I’m not sure what you’re referring to, but yeah, generally I agree with this across the board.
Maybe to the German Mig-29A (and I think the G too), since it never carried R-27ERs, and only ever had R-27Rs.
All sound awesome. But I do wonder if there will ever be a console equivalent for the marketplace, or at least something better then the workshop that is outdated and no one uses.
Ah. Yeah, makes sense to me. Should have the R-73’s too afaik. Ru MiG-29 was supposed to have them as well…
A radar on the Yak-141 and the original reason for the nerf on the Mig-29 was because of the R27ER’s it never carried were slapping everything.
To be fair, some of these definitely should be event/premium vehicles, such as the Katyusha or Sturmtiger. But others such as KA-50 and the Intruder definitely should have been TT.
Which came because the devs were too cowardly to give the MiG-29’s the R-73’s they were designed to carry.
" Q: In Ground Realistic Battles, top attack aircraft are capable of dominating ground vehicles for the most part. Are there any plans to do something about this in 2025?
A: According to our data, the balance at the top ranks of ground battles is noticeably shifted towards aviation and helicopters, and this balance has become even worse with the introduction of top aircraft this year. The situation where aircraft can attack tanks from a safe distance with impunity makes gameplay more boring for aviation and less fair for ground vehicles, a similar situation is with helicopters equipped with long-range fast ATGMs, or “fire-and-forget” ATGMs.
To counter these types of threats, more powerful systems are needed that have the ability to fire at several targets at once and a wide search sector in both azimuth and elevation. The most advanced SAM system currently presented in the game only partially meets these requirements, so we’ll move towards heavier systems for all nations, including those components of which are located on several chassis. Of course, we’ll have to solve the problem of controlling these types of SAM systems, but we’re already having thoughts on the matter.
*In turn, there are plans to add new capabilities for aircraft. And while we do not consider anti-radiation missiles (ARM) a priority and necessity, more advanced capabilities of ESM from on board an aircraft, i.e. more accurate determination of the active radar position, are in our fairly close plans
This doesn’t sound too good on paper. As someone who enjoys playing CAS, I would prefer changes to SPAA, such as adjusting the Pantsir spawn points, even if it also impacts CAS. Additionally, I’d like to see map changes that provide more options when heading into battle. On paper, this proposal seems to introduce the kind of chaos that currently plagues top-tier ARB.
- Also brought up were R-77-1 medium-range missiles, though regarding energy these don’t differ much from the R-77 already in the game.
Firstly, this is an absolutely unrealistic level of stupidity of what was said.
Secondly, configure at least the current R-77s, they fly with an air brake, although in fact they should not differ in range from the AIM-120 and may even exceed them.
Some of the more modern NATO guns could use a modular bag charge system ingame and a recon drone to allow you to spot targets (its weird they dont have them already tbh).
Ive been actually thinking about making a suggestion for a modular bag charge system in which reselecting the same shell will allow you to vary the number of charges being used. This would allow for SPG’s using the system to vary between high velocity for direct action vs tanks or helis (with proxy rounds) to very low velocity to arc shells to locations of stationnary vehicles.
Personally think cold war ships with SAM and AShM’s should be added but for relevant top tier air SB maps with a naval component like Denmark only.
Its really really weird to be striking WW2 destroyers with LGB’s, or attacking an undefended carrier, etc…
Well sure, but even at the lowest possible charge with the slowest flying round the minimum firing distance is 3-4km, rendering it useless at a large majority of the maps that are in the game :P
The alternative is some sort of of-map artillery spawn that is announced in a similar way to nukes so that planes and helis have a chance to search for it and take it out.
I’m hoping we see a Soviet MBT with actual reverse speed this coming year.
