Then identify the aircraft. Chances are unless the enemy pilot sees you, then your good to go, however, if they do see you you know their hostile. It’s not rocket science.
Also before you even think of saying anything Morvran, if you have to get into the range where they are turning upon you, then you already have screwed up.
Can you tell the difference between a US F-4J and a Japanese F-4J at long distance?
If I see an F-4J I shoot the F-4J.
So what if they were a friendly?
Acceptable casualties.
Or maybe they just shouldnt put same aircraft on both teams.
Or maybe they should have used their eyes and tilted their wings if they were friend or foe. Wing signals exist for a reason, you slightly tilt your wings can often signal: Your friendly, or you use the chat and say it.
Harrier Gr7.
I really dont have time at 12.7 to be worrying about whether the thing flying at me, locking onto me is a US F-16 or Chinese F-16. If I wait, I die if its a bad US player or an enemy player
Most players dont respond to quick message pings (hell i’ve had a Friendly F-15A kill me before, despite me defending against multiple missiles and spamming quick messages)
You can name any aircraft you want bud, the results are the same, if they refuse to signal who they are and what they want, I will treat them all as hostile. I will not shoot upon them unless they make themselves clear as hostiles.
In the game, you have 4 options: You either don’t do jack and let me fly to your side or into the range where I could missile or fire my gun, or B: You use quick commands or chat. Or necessary wing signals.
You have 4 options, if you’re gonna not use the options given then that is completely on you.
Mhm. You try seeing a small insignia on a plane while you’re in a furball trying to keep track of who’s friendly and who isn’t.
Who was trained by the USSR? Both of them? But, see, the issue is that the USSR doesn’t need a sub-tree. It has 5 fully fleshed out tech tree lines. China does not.
Me looking at the Phantom and concluding that it is enemy because our team shouldn’t have Phantoms (it is friendly) (I just shot it)
Literally no one does this. The most you get is someone calling out “On me!” and sometimes you don’t even get that.
This is how you get kicked from a game for teamkilling (suboptimal)
And just so you know, it isn’t your game. Other people can play it too even if they don’t know about your self-imposed rules.
I am aware because this has been stated literally endless as a reason to justify why or why not. However, from a purely gameplay standpoint South Korea would fit best in Japan, both for filling the tree and covering some of Japan’s weaknesses.
Also tf?? ban the game lmao?? thats such a jump.
May I remind you that
In spite of the issues, both South Korea and Japan have taken priorities to work alongside the United States in countering recent threats from China, Russia, and North Korea.
The American–Japanese–Korean trilateral pact - Wikipedia literally exists
Like it or not, they are allies. Current world events have shaped this. They can fit together. But this is a bit (extremely) off topic for a post about cluster bombs. If you want to debate more, DM me.
If you’re in a furball then you’re already dead.
If you had bothered to read everything you would have noticed that the final words stated:
"if they refuse to signal who they are and what they want, I will treat them all as hostile.
Yeah, no one does and that’s why they complain on the forums, it’s general incompetence.
Once again, despite relations being better it still doesn’t matter on the grand scale of things. Government is Government, people are people, and people are less forgiving unless they decide to forgive you. If you also bothered to look into Asian countries and look into Aging populations, the older people take priority, younger folks over there don’t have much of a say.
You can use it purely by gameplay standards and people will not care, it’s not an excuse that they care for.
Despite i found the recent discussions quite interesting - a short reminder:
The thread deals with cluster bombs…
Have a good one!
I think an anti-tank cluster bomb would be a pretty good anti-aircraft tank check
Depends heavily on their age, dispensers have more consistent dispersal patterns than early Cluster bombs, due to ejecting the bomblets overboard, instead of being pneumatically / explosively dispersed; for example the SUU-7/A series of dispensers does not produce a void in the pattern, where the SUU-30/B series does, and without a barometric fuse for reliable control over the Hight of function are much more sensitive to release conditions, and are needed in a larger quantity to ensure proper coverage of a given area.
They solved this with the SUU-64/B & Rockeye (SUU-76/B / Mk. 7 dispenser) series (e.g. CBU -87, -99 & -100) by having the clamshell eject away from the bomblets, a much tighter internal packing pattern and a proper mechanical barometric fuse.
Instantly all AT mine layers will become so fun. (Ground mains beware, you will cry)
Some very nation specific designs to help, like Viggen and Draken. Compared to that of the MiG-21.
Despite this I still regularly get TK’d
Bomb Kapsel 90
Munition discharger used by the AJS37 and JAS39, also goes by the designation of DWS 39 Mjolnir. Range of 3-7km depending on altitude and speed when dropped, it is a glide munition, and has 24 capsules with 72 total submunitions.
With three launch modes and three total submunition types, you can launch AT (what you will primarily use in game) with either a circular, long, or wide spread.
+1 for cluster munitions, it’s just a better version of the incendiary bombs
That’s actually a really interesting idea. The BL755, MW-1, and JP233 would give aircraft like the Tornado IDS a much-needed boost in versatility, especially for Italy, Germany, and the UK, to which those nations struggle at the moment.
Cluster munitions could be a solid addition if balanced properly giving strike aircraft a more tactical approach to area denial and anti-armor.
For Soviet equivalents, something like the RBK-series bombs would probably fit the bill. Expanding this concept to artillery support is also a cool thought replacing the current HE shelling with cluster artillery munitions at higher BRs could make bombardments feel more impactful instead of just an occasional nuisance.
Obviously, implementation is everything. Too much spam could get annoying, but done right, it could shake up gameplay and make strike aircraft and artillery more engaging.
