Gaijin this is a warning, DO NOT MODEL THE ROUND IN THE BARREL, this piece of shit already has very little going for it, do not ruin this tank like you ruined the Sturmtiger, i swear to god you keep ruining tanks with needles changes so just STOP. Id rather you never update the game again if it meant you stopped trying to change these goddamn models, weve seen the dev server, the tank is fine as it is currently ingame AND DONT CHANGE IT. And im saying this as a 11 year War Thunder Veteran, vehicles like this shouldnt have weaknesses like these.

I can deal with the horrible selective treatment of rounds exploding in barrels (why this isn’t a blanket thing across all vehicles with large HE in which case I don’t know). It’s the fact that you can just 50.cal the mortar itself to destroy it in a second or so.
Which means you will have to repair it and reset your reload, where they can just 50.cal it again and repeat. If someone decides to 50.cal at your mortar or shoot it with anything you’re gimped and there is nothing you can do about it except hope someone else comes by to help you.
I want it to be removed completely to make deep vehicles more viable, can you imagine the sturmtiger if as a decent tank man…
To be completely honest, I’d settle for not being able to MG the empty cannon of the Petard and Sturmtiger to ammo rack a round that isn’t there
