I would like some others to way in on this. Below are 2 pictures highlighting the trunnion/breach armor of the T-90M vs VT4A1. At first glance nothing really seems wrong, just different methods to construct it. However, when you look at the protection values and compare the sizes and geometries of the armor in question…you begin to notice something that doesn’t add up.
The T-90M trunnion armor is 220-600mm despite being significantly smaller in LoS thickness than the VT4’s! The VT4’s armor is 40-310mm, almost an entire half lower than the T-90M’s while being the same construct material and being larger than it! Now, it doesn’t take somebody like me who is an engineer and done plenty of drafting and design to realize that something fishy is going on here. I am not sure whether the T-90M’s values are too high, or more likely the VT4 and other Chinese tank values are laughably low.
Regardless, this is ridiculous and we need to investigate this ASAP to get a bug report in. Is anyone able to extract the T-90M and VT4 models from in game? I would like to try and get the armor in question pulled up in CAD to make some measurements on.
