the tank of a tank is not manufactured in the same way as a car tank, the tanks will not explode all the time, they can catch fire but not necessarily explode

there are many vedios show that chinese fuel tank wont get exploded even by shoot through by apfsds.but gaijin just ignore all bug reports and keep saying there is no any bug on chinese mbts fuel tank this rediculous high explode possibility,while compare with usa/germany/russian black hole effect eater fuel tank .

i know it,but i said,everyone fuel tank in chinese mbts is same easy to get exploded as ler2 only one under crews feet.every one.Do you know how many fuel tanks chinese mtbs have?its 3-5,means if ler2 get 20% dead on fuel tank while shoot that under feet fuel ank,chinese mbts is 100%,since fuel tank with nuclear bombs inside is everywhere in chinese mbts.ler2 other fuel tank are not high possibility explode as that under feet one.i have played 500 game on ler2 and 4000 on ztz99 s ,i know it very clearly

It literally doesn’t explode. I already had done the analysis, diesel fuel requires a certain air to droplet mixture ratio range with a sufficient high enough temperature to auto ignite. The APFSDS penetrating is enough temperature to reach auto ignition, but the fuel to air ratio is far too fuel rich. It will not explode, simple as that.

What DOES and CAN happen is the shockwave from the APFSDS entering the fuel tank and transferring energy to the fuel contained will cause a resultant force on the back wall of the fuel tank. Of course, you can mitigate these effects by having baffles in the fuel tank and reinforcing it. The shockwave is sufficiently powerful enough that it can rupture thin metal and spread with a powerful force into the crew compartment. Although if we want to be really accurate, it should be treated as a wide spread spalling, not an ‘oops, your dead’ explosion.

It is here we enter the 2 tier system Gaijin uses, they only look at if there is a reinforcement on the fuel tank and call it a day. If it has any reinforcement, then fuel tank explosions are pretty much impossible in game. If it doesn’t, well you get the China situation where every shot is pretty much one. This is a faulty approach because it is not reliably simulating what would happen. Say I put a 2mm sheet steel around a plastic fuel tank, is that enough to stop the force generated during an APFSDS penetration? No, the back wall will rupture and there will be an ‘explosion’. And this all depends on the fuel used, mass of the fuel in the tank, velocity of the APFSDS, mass of the APFSDS, thickness and general design of the fuel tank and chassis joint connection, etc. Considering the devs can’t even get Chinese tank models correct, I don’t have any hopes they are able to solve a dynamically loaded structural engineering problem.

My point with explaining this all is, is because the system artificially favors NATO tanks and does not accurately represent what happens. If they insist on fuel tank explosions being a thing, then they should take a real approach to simulating the results of when a fuel tank is punctured, with and without reinforcement.

sad thing is this thing is happening on every chinese top tier MBTs,including ZTZ99A WZ1001E VT4A1,and no one care chinese mbts is so easy to get fuel tank exploded with nearly 99% possibility.While russian is just 50% even lower.

Hanger protection analysis is not a 1:1 representation of the actual game, especially in regards to ammo and fuel explosions.

And no one care chines sucks,every one know lerc2 under feet fuel tank easy to exploded or italy protection sucks,no one care about chinese protections also nerf tons and also sucks.its survivity on side shoot is even much worse than italian C1.They always show you how big front armor is and how high ERAs protection is,but they wont show you how big gun part is and how easy to one shoot kill any chinese mbts by aim at gun or front guide wheel or any places of side.And all chinese mbts side is very very huge.And no any side ERA,while they do have in reality and gaijin keep deny these bug reports.
