I didn’t say that it doesn’t, I simply asked if you had data to support it. “It is well known” is not sufficient proof.
While I don’t know why this person’s skin turned blue, it’s a credible source. In addition, the description of the PL-10E at the Zhuhai Airshow is also easy to find.
Thank you, so the truth is that the person who made the missile commented and claimed that it has an infrared imaging sensor? If that was said from the beginning I would not have asked him to back it up with a source.
this won’t stop it from using IIR seeker, could just be some technical consideration, and some sources show it maybe some kind of Rare-Earth Ceramic material
It’s not from one institute, so won’t have much relationship with PL-8B. PL-8 is from Luoyang institute and PL-11AE is from Shanghai institute.
Yes. This is easy to obtain, and I found it in a search on CNKI. As for its IIR seeker accuracy (I heard that it is 256x256), I have not yet found a relevant source.
I do not speak, nor can I search for things easily in Chinese.
Oh okay, sorry.
I think the most critical problem with the VT-4 is its armor. The current thermal imaging is enough to use, probably?
I am pretty sure I saw sources on newer generation IR sensors using ceramics material involving rare earth metals.
Is enough, but could do with being better, after all, it is better to see ur enemy first.
J7H has PL8 and is better suited to join BR 11.0
That is an interesting prospect, although I suspect such a material may only be partially made of zirconium as it can cause crystallization in the glass while being manufactured.
Although from what I can find this is only in glass treated during transitional temperatures.
Could you send me that paper, I would like to take a look at it. Thank you.
Asking for sources is good, and I encourage it, it makes it easier for all of us to be on the same page and even coordinate bug reports. I haven’t had time yet to try and dig into where I saw the pixel density claims, although the other poster saying 256 x 256 does sound very familiar…
But here is the data card for the Pl-10E:
PL-10E
Infrared Imaging (IIR) is listed for it’s guidance mode.
Armor, and the vehicles modelling height. Like I said before, the Chinese tanks size seems off for being a T-72 based vehicle. If it was smaller like the Russian tanks, it would help reduce the size of weakspots.
Current thermals being gen 2 is okay, most tanks in game use that, but if it is Gen 3 IRL, then it should be Gen 3 in game, it can help at very long ranges in making out weakspots on enemy tanks.
Name is: Study on Characteristics of High-Strength Nano Infrared Ceramic Dome for Mid-Infrared Missile
yes
Is there a reason that despite being almost identical in size and weight, the range is significantly less than a mica? I assume the range of mica is using the ARH seeker and pl10 the iir seeker. But both missiles have an ARH and ir version.
Although it seems the pl10 is almost always used as ir.
