Bro, you’re out of time.

J7E’s capability to carry PL8s are thought through at the design stage, J7E was integrated with PL8 right from the start and PL8B should be about the same. J7G wise I have little knowledge on how they actually integrated it.

It had PL-8 from the beginning. You can see pictures of prototype J-7Gs with PL-8.

As in I don’t know of the process of integration, J7E project is somewhat a last try to update the J7II so in mid 2000s without radar is a bit…

PL-5E II for domestic chinese aircraft only or both export other operators and domestic chinese aircraft ? 🤔

Now I’m wondering PL-5E II

Both domestic and export

Sadly, I don’t know Chengdu J-7E & Shenyang J-8F armed PL-5E II in PLAAF service or PL-5E II for export operators aircraft only

But I hope gajin add PL-8B for 4 aircraft this month

  • Chengdu J-7E
  • Chengdu J-10A
  • Shenyang J-8F
  • Xian JH-7A

The only thing holding the j7e at its br is its missiles. If it got pl8b’s it would go to like 12.7.

Yea, I don’t think the J7E should get the PL8B, for the sake of the plane. It still has the Mig 21 engines.

PL-5C should be enough for it.

I might believe gaijin no problem add PL-8B on Chengdu J-10A and Shenyang J-8F this month

Change Air-to-Air weapon

I don’t worry gaijin change BR to 12.0 and located between J-8B & J-8F

2x PL-5B and 4x PL-5B replace with PL-5C or PL-5E

PL-8 instead 2x PL-2 because PL-2 very outdated for J-7E

Maybe PL5C and go 11.7 since so many people are complaining it should be 11.3 anyways. J7G could be fun as well if we really separate the techtree by 沈飞and成飞

Or PL-5E stock instead 2x PL-5B and PL-2 replace with PL-8 on J-7E

BR 12.0, my guess

For J-7G, 2x PL-5E II stock and 4x PL-8 & 4x PL-8B

I guess J-7G BR 12.3

did PL-5E have any IRCCM?

No, but 3.5km lock.

Can you post the source

It’s same as PL5EII but without the extra UV sensor to provide IRCCM. I am not sure if it had the multielement though. I’m just surfing through a sea of stuff give me a minute.
edit:There are sources that say it’s just PL5C but some say it has improvements to seeker, I’ll have another search.

Multiple elements are a pre-requisite to R-73 or Magic 2 type IRCCM. The multi-color seeker would be akin to Magic 2’s secondary IRCCM methodology but that is not reflected in-game on the Magic yet. The dual-color (IR+UV) is something reflected in-game but afaik not on the PL-5EII.

Lmk if you find a credible source.

PL-5EII and AAM-3 have their IRCCM intentionally adjusted for what I assume to be balancing reasons.
