Chinese 9.3 GRB aircraft

So why is it that the J-7II does not get CCIP, but the Russian MIG-21F-13 does? I get that the J-7II is an export license copy, but does it really lose that functionality? And with the F100A compared to the US F100D, it has less armament, no CCRP, and they are both 9.3. There are a couple of other examples that I won’t list on this topic. Does anyone know why the Chinese 9.3 aircraft don’t get the same functions as their counterparts?

Not sure, but the J-7 was partially reverse engineered because the Soviets provided incomplete documentation, and the J-7II is a later version, so it’s definitely not a copy of the MiG-21F-13. Maybe the Chinese decided they didn’t need ballistic computers, or didn’t have the technology to produce them at the time.

The F-100D was an upgraded fighter-bomber version with more avionics and payload. The ROC only brought the earlier F-100A version.

Should they get a lower BR in GRB? Maybe. Balancing decisions aren’t my fight. Relevant thread is this way: Planned Battle Rating changes for April 2025

I’m no expert but I think that would be the J-7IIA which is a modified version of the J-7II with Marconi electronics, but I don’t know the details, I could be wrong too
