this was a specific issue with china and japan and their history. if Ukrainian tanks went to Russia there would be the same issue. imo

There’s just no convincing me they need it. And if Gaijin meant that, they would have announced the VT4 for Japan in the Community Update No. 8. I don’t think they will. I think the Chinese player base exposed something and its only fair other nations get to defend their vehicles. China does not need and should not get M1A2T, especially with the temper tantrum.

There’s always a first time to correct something though. And to be very clear here, me personally, am not a fan of the current copy and paste system. It fundamentally makes the game worse to have scenarios where its German Leopards against Italian Leopards or French Leopards. Same British/Indian T-80s vs. Russian T-80s. You are just fighting yourself at that point. Doing this is a futher enabling of that. Don’t want to see it continued. F-16 vs F-16 vs F-16 is just bad game design full-stop. We have custom games for that.
But top tier should be filled with as many unique vehicles as a nation allows. And in some cases, some nations just wont be at the 12.0 line with much. Adding an Abrams to China, especially given the hositlity between them and the US (not to mention the fact that the US didn’t sell them to Taiwan for a “hey, now China can have these” scenario), is just a bad idea full stop. Its Gaijin playing sides if anything because they (hopefully, and respectfully) should be smarter than that to see. The US bought functional Mig-29s from Moldova (I believe them) but I dont see anyone demanding they get added to the US tree. Because we all know wouldn’t fit and be good for the game.

China deserves its service vehicles regardless of what those vehicles are.
Not adding M1A2T is the same as not adding M1A1 to USA.

There should be no Taiwanese M1 Abrams until Thai VT-4 is introduced into the game. Period.
If Chinese are entitled to deny that VT-4 it is only a fair game to deny Abrams to them.

Likewise, if everyone can get their stuff copied into other trees I don’t see why US stuff should receive another treatment.
CN players denying VT-4 is the same as US players denying Abrams. Both shouldn’t be listened to because the precedent has already been established.
But you know… your more likely gonna hurt the Taiwanese who supported the VT4 addition to Japan. The chinese barely cared at all. If you want to let the chinese how we felt about the VT4 is better to wait until China buy a foreigin vehicle and we REJECT it.
Yet the VT4 was denied to Japan. So should the Abrams to China.

The Chinese player based cared enough to review bomb the game to pressure Gaijin to backtrack and deny it to Thailand just because it went as a sub tree to Japan. It wasn’t even going to have a Japanese flag on the vehicle card.

Its not fair for one player base to get their pressure acknowledged and acted upon and to just hand everyone else a middle finger when it comes to the same. The correct move would have been to add the VT4 regardless of China’s opinion but Gaijin backtracked. Its only fair other players get to do so.
And it isn’t very fair to the Taiwanese who supported the VT4 to Thai Tree as well dude. We shall be more patient and wait for a better chance to actually damage them. We are literally doing friendly fire upon our allies… If we loose the another player base in that specific country in the future, the Chinese gonna be even more furious and cause more issues until NO TANK FOR NOBODY.
Sorry but absolutely no Abrams should be given to China. Going to echo and back the others who are against such. China doesn’t need it, and they shouldn’t get it.

Gaijin leaving the US with the worst versions of its own hardware is par for ths course though. Thats just how they are. Not surprising to anyone.
The US and China have terrible relations now too. The US and China have also fought a war against each other. They have never been, since Communist China took over, on ‘good terms’. What’s your point? End of the day, it is double standards regardless of which way you cut the cake.
If they Always added the best version to the US, there would be no incentive to grind other nations, or at least that’s how gaijin sees it
