With the addition of the new version, most countries have received 14.0 fighters, but China, as a country with a strong air force, has a variety of options but has been slow to get 14.0 fighters (yes, I mean J-10B). But maybe there are more options? For example, F-16A MLU2). In addition, in this version update, the United States acquired the AIM-120C, considering that Russia had already acquired the R-77-1 before that, I think that the PL-12A should also be added to China (the data refer to the “PL-12AE” on public display).
only 2 nations without 14.0 and neither receive one this update even tho it coulda been a perfect rivalry themed update (not bad F-2 vs J10B)
instead sweden gets an op hornet and the C-5 gets added??? -_-
it’s so over for Rafafe
Yes, this update was only given to one SPAA (and it’s an unfinished product with only modeling and no data)
for the propose of balance, it’s necessary.at least cn should get new msl such as pl12a
Chinese tech tree has fallen far behind other nations. While other countries have powerful 14.0 BR CAS aircraft, China’s so-called ‘CAS monster’ only gets three KH-29 missiles. Moreover, Chinese vehicles face numerous instances of ‘unequal treatment.’ Although Gaijin never admits to having double standards, their actions clearly say: ‘Yes we have double standards - what are you gonna do about it?’"
Disregarding that Germany is getting the same thing, and that the MLU2 is another 420k rp only to stock grind another ~134k RP for a missile loadout that US mains are getting for at minimum 20k (due to it going to a Hornet already ingame) yeah, sure, Sweden is getting an “OP” Hornet
That being said, China does deserve some love this update, but it’s also only the first dev for a primarily Naval-based update, with only 4 nations recieving aircraft so far. Hopefully (big hopefully) when Gaijin does the second dev there’ll be a lot more
I have a feeling that the next Major update may be air-focused and I have no doubt that China can recieve something new.
Gaijin did a huge step adding newer and more powerful vessels like the Yamato and Bismarck and more modern anti-air systems.
Next generation airplanes may be closer than never and China certainly is a powerhouse in this regard but is just a waiting simulator until we get a concrete proof of this possible addition to the game.
China is kinda in that limbo rn cause I think Gaijin doesn’t want to go too advanced or have China outpace Russia, but we very easily could probably get the J-15 within the next couple of updates
German one doesn’t get BOL no?
anyways my point wasn’t that sweden shouldn’t get anything, just that I don’t think anyone was expecting more f18s…
We were expecting the MLU1 or MLU2 for Sweden, after the base F-18C, sorry I haven’t looked on the dev server much so I didn’t know about the BOL pods
yeah this is why I say OP
I didn’t expect another f18 cause I thought that gaijin was just adding the f18c as an excuse to not add anything this patch
Oh good lord, thats a lot of CM
I’d argue tho that countermeasures don’t make something OP, it just makes it more protected in the defensive sector
I expected the MLU2, I was not expecting the Swiss ones
The countermeasures are much worse than even small CMs. The picture looks bad, in practice, there’s very little going for it over any other F18 with real air to ground capacity and the new 120s.
I wouldn’t have a problem with AIM-120C-5 if it was only for the F/A-18 (because it needs it) but its coming for the F-15E/I as well, and equivalents are not coming for other nations, and this disrupts the balance by quite a lot. I will be talking in the context of China for this post.
Both of China’s current top tier fighters, the J-10A and J-11B, don’t accelerate or climb as fast as most of the 14.0s in the game, and the PL-12 is inferior in range to the AIM-120A and AIM-120B, but at least it had more initial pull. Now though, AIM-120C-5 not only vastly outranges the PL-12 but it no longer suffers from the lack of WVR performance that the AIM-120A and AIM-120B does.
I find that if the J-10B is not included in the current update, it would be strange. J-10B is a intermediary before the J-10C, the J-10C is what competes with the latest Rafale, Eurofighter, and Gripen. The J-10B uses a first generation AESA radar that would not be game-breaking at all. Other than this there are changes to the avionics and slightly more thrust. It will still use the same A2A weaponry (PL-12 and PL-8B) and the other change would be more CAS ordnance. But 14.0s right now already have some of these characteristics (and even some that have all of the above).
At the very least if Gaijin does not add the J-10B, then I expect the PL-12 to get its actual range and not the current one, or Gaijin should add a PL-12A (With ~120km range) to balance things out.
Sit ur ass down! How dare you talking something like this!? The OG still haven’t got their 14.0 yet! You need to respect the OG (aka US and Russia) 🤣
Its pretty standard for Gaijin, now the have paid for the 3D model they will add it everywhere they can get away with it to maximize the return on it. Which is fair enough for a F2P game.
yeah but you can set them to pop in groups of 4 and still get 320 drops, even on 50/50 mixed that’s still 120 drops compared to 98 max pops of the SU-30s large CMs or the same pops as a regular F-15. Are they so bad that 4 of them don’t equal 1 large or 2 regular CMs? and then on top of that they still have, what is it?, 60 or 120? regular CMs on the airframe as well. That’s certainly nothing to sneeze at.
Yeah I agree, the R-77-1 on the weaker engine Su-30 evens out against the F-15E/I reasonably well, but leaves the lower powered planes a bit lacking. Giving the C-5 to the E/I not only puts them firmly back in the advantage, but makes it even worse for other planes that don’t get it or the R-77-1.
