What page on the Thai document? Do you have a link to it that still works, I only have a machine translated copy of it. I saw it has 2 reverse positions in the shifter but that might not be how many actual gears it has.

You can read this report to see how we figured out the reverse speed, and I think do to fears around the nature of the document and the fact that people didn’t want it to spread more, some people decided to personally delete links they had left, but it was never officially an issue.
Hmmmm I think we might have a decent chance to get better reverse speed. A commenter pointed out in the bug report that R1 and R2 doesn’t mean it only has 2 gears just like D doesn’t mean it has 1 forward gear. I think if we can get the documents you are asking about that would be able to prove the CH1000, and all the CH series has 3 gears in reverse.

It seems the Pakistan version of VT-4 also have around -16.5km/h reverse speed:
I don’t know if this means the gear ratio of CH1000B are different from the rest of CH series.
That’s also the Domestic version built for Pakistan, and I think some parts atleast are built domestically to, but the fact that there close seems to add up.
I think Pakistan’s domestic version uses a Pakistani made gun and domestic ERA. Apart from that it’s same as the VT-4A1

The current vertical targeting speed for the VT4A1 is literally worse than the 99ii/iii’s, this is absolutely absurd, if 3.7 degree per second stock is the true value, who the hell would buy it? However, its been proven to be quite successful as an export vehicle.
So for some reason, despite my bug report, it seems the Hull armor actually got worse even tho it was already underperforming a bit on the dev server…and the vertical targeting speed hasn’t been touched yet, but the transmission is fixed. the reload is also only 7.1 and not the 6.7 that got acknowledged as well.
@Smin1080p hopefully the devs are still aware and are planning to implement all the bug reports that have been acknowledged? At 11.7 this tanks protection and base performance seems very inadequate

It seems MBT-2000 will benefit the most from the change and may need BR increse to 11.0+
For VT-4A1, the new KE protection is estimated to be 540-580 base armor + 180 ERA according to the guy.
After this, it’s seems that all were really missing is the Reload buff and Spall liners

Yeah, I expect that later, and tbh I don’t really mind as much, as the ERA coverage was very minimal, and wouldn’t have much effect on survivability
not only the top but also the sides’ the side’s ERA can improve its survival ability significantly
The side ERA on the turret is already implemented, unless your talking about the proposed kit thats meant to add a bunch of sideskirt ERA to the tank. That was a separate report, however given that it was never implemented IRL, I don’t expect it to come to the game
