If they were OP they’d be going higher than just 9.3, but they’re just too strong at their old BR and something had to be done. Again, other minor nations have good players as well, yet their tanks aren’t performing as good.

However no other nation has a 9.0 tank thats got as much of a unique niche fanbase of the Chieftains. Its all just pattons, leopards and whatever soviet stuff was passed around at that BR
You will find that all tanks with cult followings have better than normal stats because they have dedicated players that love and learned them inside and out.
Case in point:
the french 7.7 tanks (not somua), strong but balanced fine enough at 7.7, dedicated fanbase playing them, bumping stats into the green.
doom turtle is a joke at 7.0 but its got players that make up for it even with american ground mains tainting the results
Niche players are as tainted of a data pool as with the top tier premoums noobs buy. balancing based off of that is stupid.
c900 has volumeme armor though, not sure how much it changes though
its also volumetric on the mk5 turret. its the same model under the 4mm of structural steel.
the only difference in armour is that structural. and that wont even stop a 7.62.
i actually researched c900 a few weeks ago and was planning on playing it in a 9.0 lineup… guess that wont happen now
Funny enough, I quite liked the 900. I played it similarly to my Khalid because now I had mobility, as a result I prefer it to the Mk.10. Not that the Mk.10 is bad, or I feel its bad, I just don’t like being immobile when most of the maps I get are city maps with no hull down spots.

Last i checked we did know the penetration values irl.
They were slightly worse of what is found on L23 in game.
They’re not the best performing 9.0s last i checked that belonged to the ZTZ 88B and T69G II.
Ztz are more mobile, better dart, better turret armour than rhe 900 and composite on the hull.
As well as comparable reload.
Apds is found on the 8.7 chieftains and is fine, the 9.0s have an imaginary round and realistically should get L23A1 or lose darts and gain access to the correctly performing L15A5
You cannot tell me an XM801 mbt is worse than a mk10 chieftain.
The mk10 has fantastic turret armour but has terrible optics as well as no thermals, no mobility and a mediocre dart in L23.
For example the amx30 super sits ar 9.3 and is objectively better in every way apart from raw turret armour, wven then it’s got some trolley anfles.

One is a turretless super heavy moving at snail’s pace while the other is slower, more armored Leopard.
Nah the mk10s armour will be pretty much made irrelevant in a partial uptier, 10.0 has then likes of sabra which will and does cut clean through it.
Same as the C900 it’s advantage of mobility slides out the window.
That being said it did do well at 9.0 the 900.

Chieftain has a very advanced ballistic design so much so they used to weld square plates on the ufp to “classify” it.
Keep in mind it should also be modern cast with higher hardness and even better protection.
Oh i know, the fact the other chieftains have had such pitiful armour for as long has bothered me to no end.
