Changes to the Naval Enduring Confrontation Mode

Yep, had several players join that match a little later, then when there was nobody to shoot at in under a minute they left removing I think it was 3 ships from one team, 2 from another.

Just watch, soon it will be “it takes too long to get into action” and maps will shrink and “matches take too long” and timers will be added. This is just the first step of “soft killing” the mode

There a few changes I like such as the spawn timers being a thing, Although I believe that there should be lower re-spawn timers for smaller ships.

The ships need their SP back otherwise anything 6.x and above is just going to be battleships fighting each other.

The game needs to prioritize filling up current active lobbies and not just starting another match. I have had numerous matches where its just me and 3 other people in the lobby while the friends im playing with just get a new match.

Another thing is the bot spawns. I believe that the bots need to prioritize spawning on the convoy obj’s and not the ports on these large maps.

Datas ? Wich datas ? They said it good, but WE didnt saw anything.
If they count only the number of battles launch, yeah, it increase significant cause only 2 players to launch a game.

In english could be better, but you right about it.

the translation : And what are you so happy about? Farming bots? What a huge achievement! Bravo!
Is it fun playing without real opponents? I get it. If there were as many real players as there used to be, you’d have been sent packing—and in the red, too—because you’d have gotten hammered so hard your chair would’ve melted. But against bots? Sure, you’re the terror of the high seas. You even came here to brag; I guess you already got banned from the Russian forum…
Gaijin killed the only decent naval mode and turned it into an add-on for the “tanker crowd”—just a place to grind dailies and Battle Pass tasks more easily.

Thanks for translation) But that guy is Russian ,so i decided to write more understandable for him) i used to read his spam on national forum and usually meet him in the battles.

Why would I be ashamed? I’m not exploiting anything or using some kind of bug. I’m simply playing the game mode that the developers made available and using the mechanics and rewards that they themselves implemented.

Yes, I unlocked three ships in three matches, but those matches were not magically completed in five minutes. Naval Enduring Confrontation can last for hours, and you’re still spending that entire time playing, dealing damage, capturing objectives, fighting enemies, managing ammunition, and trying to survive.

I also don’t understand why progressing faster automatically means that someone is “playing unfairly.” If the developers decided that this format should provide higher rewards because of its duration, that’s their economy design—not something the players should be ashamed of.

And honestly, I don’t want Naval to become a mode where you need to spend months grinding just to unlock a few ships. That’s exactly the kind of progression that can discourage new players from even trying Naval.

I’ve already said that I enjoy Naval Realistic Battles, but I also understand why Arcade Enduring Confrontation can be much more inviting. You can spend several hours playing without constantly worrying about manual range calculations, shell trajectories, aiming corrections, and dozens of other mechanics.

If the rewards are too high, then Gaijin can adjust the economy. That’s their decision. But I don’t see why players should be blamed for using a system exactly as it was designed.

And calling everyone who enjoys this format “ashamed” because they don’t want to grind for months isn’t really an argument. Some people simply want to play the game, have fun, and actually feel like their time is being rewarded.

Also, I used exclusively PREMIUM/PACKAGE SHIPS, which naturally give me more RP and Silver Lions. Even if I were using regular tech-tree ships, I would probably still earn around 60–70% of what I earned, simply because of the amount of knowledge and experience I have with this game mode.

I have nothing to be ashamed of. If you can’t achieve the same results as quickly as I can because you’re not as experienced, then perhaps it only feels unfair because I’m using knowledge and experience instead of simply relying on routine and grinding.

That’s not an exploit. That’s just knowing how to play the mode.

The only thing I’m ashamed of is having participated in an economy-related argument years ago because I was angry about people using a biplane in Simulation Battles and somehow reaching top tier.

I’m not ashamed of simply doing what the game mode allows you to do. I have no problem with that.

Gaijin did this to make players buy premium vehicle to the detriment of gameplay.
It was already fast to grind naval ships in regular gamemode.

Naval EC was not really for the grind, but for the gameplay.
But gaijin do not care about gameplay.

Now, gaijin will nerf everything.

no,I might try aerial combat

It’s unfortunate that this happens, thanks for sharing!

That’s not true. If I had to make a blind guess, without access to the actual financial data disclosed by the company, I would be almost 99.99% certain that the biggest source of revenue currently comes from top-tier premium MBT and jet packs, along with purchases related to Premium accounts.

Then this doesn’t affect you. As you have probably read in Gaijin’s terms, your purchases are your own choices.

If you’re unhappy with a change that ATTRACTS NEW PLAYERS and gives them easier access to tech-tree ships without requiring Premium vehicles, simply by playing a single match for a few hours, then try asking for a refund.

Or just use what you bought and have fun with it.

Because let’s be honest: it wasn’t exactly fun for a new player to spawn into a 5.7 ship and get absolutely obliterated by three salvos from an experienced player simply because they joined an already ongoing match due to the old system used by the mode we’re discussing.

Another lie. There were spawn campers specifically preventing recently destroyed players from returning with their battleships.

Many times, you had to travel to a distant objective and spend around 30 minutes, if you were lucky enough to avoid being targeted, just to capture an objective and earn another spawn with a battleship.

It wasn’t enjoyable at all.

How does this make any sense?

Unique vehicles are given through EVENTS. If you consider Premium/package vehicles or top-tier vehicles to be “unique vehicles,” then that’s a problem EXCLUSIVELY OF YOUR OWN MAKING.

Gaijin’s revenue comes primarily from MBTs, jets, and Premium account purchases. Naval has VERY, VERY FEW PLAYERS, and its only significant recent increase in popularity came when they added the Yamato and other famous World War II ships.

You can find this in a normal Naval Realistic Battle. There’s currently an Enduring Confrontation event happening in Naval as well.

So what’s the excuse now?

Does the idea of having a ship sitting in a crew slot collecting dust during a match simply because you’re being prevented by experienced players like me from reaching certain point thresholds sound even remotely good or strategically acceptable to you?

This mode was designed for long-duration engagements because players were complaining that having only 3 spawns in a normal match was ridiculous, and that the amount of profit/RP simply didn’t justify spending 10 minutes searching for a match only to spend another 15 minutes getting one-shot by a bot or player from 15 km away.

It shouldn’t be the endgame of Naval. At most, it should be a SUSTAINABLE WAY TO GRIND AND HAVE FUN, based on objectives and events throughout the match, without having to worry about spawn limitations.

That didn’t happen when the helicopter research system was added to MBTs, making it possible to use Premium ground vehicles to research helicopters.

As far as I know, no veteran player who had already completely grinded the helicopter tech trees quit the game because of it.

They can, because they’re the ones running the company. And on the contrary, every major update brings new ships, aircraft, MBTs, helicopters, and other vehicles, and the number of players increases drastically in the areas of the game that are most appealing to each player.

The current sections are perfectly acceptable. Veterans like YOU and ME simply need to accept that there is a game mode called ARCADE that does most of the work for you, combined with a game mode that lasts for HOURS, without requiring you to use a META 5.7 vehicle equipped with torpedoes capable of reaching 15–20 km just to completely ruin the experience for a new player who is getting into Naval.

I understand your point, and I agree that Enduring Confrontation should keep its own identity instead of simply becoming another version of the normal Naval modes.

However, I don’t think making it more accessible automatically means replacing its strategic value with “homogenized matchmaking logic.” The old system had its own problems, especially for newer players.

The biggest issue was that a new player could enter with a 5.7 ship, spend a long time searching for a match, get destroyed by an experienced player or a bot from 15+ km away, and then have to spend a huge amount of time just trying to earn another spawn. Spawn camping and the extremely limited number of useful spawns made the experience incredibly frustrating.

That’s why I believe the current changes should be refined rather than simply reverted.

Let Arcade Enduring Confrontation remain accessible and last for several hours, with objectives, ports, dynamic events and plenty of opportunities to keep playing without worrying about exhausting your spawns. If someone wants the additional complexity of manual calculations, long-range aiming and more demanding mechanics, Naval Realistic Battles are still there.

I personally enjoy Realistic Battles, and I have enough experience to use ships like Iowa, Sevastopol and other high-tier ships effectively at long ranges. But I also recognize that doing this against new players can create a miserable experience for them.

The objective should be to grow the Naval community, not create a mode that only feels rewarding after you’ve already spent hundreds or thousands of hours learning it.

And regarding monetization, I don’t believe making the grind more accessible automatically destroys it. Gaijin can still monetize Premium ships, Premium accounts and other content. A new player who actually enjoys Naval because they can make meaningful progress is much more likely to keep playing and eventually spend money than someone who quits because the grind feels impossible.

So yes, I’m completely in favor of veterans bringing detailed proposals to improve Enduring Confrontation. But I don’t think the answer is simply to restore everything exactly as it was.

Keep the strategic identity. Keep the long-duration battles. Keep the objectives and exploration. But make the mode accessible enough that a new player actually wants to stay for the next battle.

Do whatever you want, just don’t cry about it.

We are not against PvE modes, but we are against the fact that our beloved PvP mode has been turned into a de facto PvE mode. If you like PvE, then we suggest adding a separate naval PvE mode instead of encroaching on our space.

@Stona_WT are there any plans from upper management to address these complaints via a poll? I feel like there is a majority of players who prefer a mix of the updates.

I hate to tell you this, but the players shown in your screenshots are all bots, just like the ones in mine. The real players died four times—once in an aircraft and three times in ships.

And I farm Silver Lions in a different way. While you’re getting around 16k RP, I’m getting almost 150k RP, or enough to research an entire tech-tree ship. I’m a casual player too.

This isn’t about whether you can kill three bots each and one real player four times. My screenshots are EXCLUSIVELY about the economy and the rewards you can earn per hour played.

Especially if you don’t have much time. :)

if this patch stays, the bot rewards will definitely be nerfed to the ground.

My dear, in Naval battles, regardless of the game mode, 70–80% of the targets we engage are bots.

Seriously, are you really trying to argue that?

The Naval mode itself is already incredibly insignificant in terms of player population. The developers simply made it more accessible by adding sessions that you can join automatically instead of forcing players to wait 20–30 minutes just to find a match.

If you have a stable social life and limited time to play, wouldn’t you rather spend those 20–30 minutes actually playing the game instead of staring at a matchmaking screen.
