Shoot their bridge with he. All the crew is in there. Or like, 80%. takes some judging how far and above the midship chevron the bridge is, setting a keabind for ranging shot helps with that so you dont send a whole salvo each time right past it.
Its the con tower, thats literally where all the crew is in the EC mode cargo ships, unless you hit that they are practically impossible to sink and at long range hitting that is very difficult
Well not literally but unless the crew in the tower is hit they won’t be depleted low enough to sink

gamemode it was fun playing when there’s some needed skill and everyone can have fun without bot, you need have sp for advancing and have all variety of ship and for alot who like the new ec who are normal match wich no count in battlepass event veichle and are fun to farm bot for 1/2h. bye THE ONLY GOOD MODE FOR NAVAL.
I guess there’s now reason to carry some HE in Naval, then!
There always is. All shell types have their purpose. And everything with little enough armor that will just make aphe and sap overpen and do 0 damage gets absolutely shredded by he. You also wouldnt shoot higher tier armorless coastals with 410 mm aphe that will just zip right through if you have access to a shell of which one hit will eradicate it or sometimes even near misses cripple it.
FYI even if it would fuze, Yamatos 460 mm aphe for example has a 0.05 sec fuze delay. Now i dont have the actual numbers in my head atm, but thats gotta be almost 10-15 m till the shell actually explodes. In that distance it exited the pt boat on the other side and explodes 10 m behind it. Its possible that the whole crew of the pt boat shts itself then and rethinks their life’s choices, but they didnt explode
EDIT: holy hell judging by the initial muzzle velocity of 780 m/s, thats 778*0,05= 38.9 m. Well velocity at impact will be slower but still. Owie
first time you play EC?
Well, in terms of enemy warships, AP always worked for me, even against CLs and DDs, as I just aim where I have to aim; but cargo ships are virtually unsinkable with AP or even SAP, so… HE time, then! Maybe I’ll carry 80 or something.
Yes, they are just hollow hulls and even all sections black doesnt mean they sink as long as they have crew. Shooting just the bridge with he kills any cargo ship with two salvos (depending on hits and the shell ofc, but u get the deal)
for the devs is good they have more player who join for 1m and after j out becouse he’s annoyed of travelling, or after begin killed/spawnkilled by expert player with better ship they leave but is an a win for the dev and an a match who have to endure 3h finish in 20/30m
This has basically killed all interest in EC for me. I liked the game dynamics of the large scale multi-BR play, even if the spawn points system wasn’t very good. Losing that eats into what made EC special.
Additionally, the arcade style aiming is more realistic than the “realistic” style aiming when it comes to later ships. I don’t like arcade ship control. I have no interest in playing either RB or AB now. I know at least three of my friends who routinely play EC feel the exact same way about this.
These changes should have been made to random battles. Random battles already have bots, random battles are too small, and they are too short. Instead, this was the destruction of one of the most unique and promising game modes.
The gameplay loop in EC was fundamentally different from the gameplay loop in random battles, which allowed for unique play between dissimilar ships. By removing the spawn points system and reducing this to “large random battles,” the game will likely be reduced to the same gameplay dynamics (effectively just deathmatch), with less incentive to play for capture points or objectives. An imbalance in the teams was not fun, but it forced one team to get creative and focus more on objectives rather than dueling other ships. That is now dead, and with it the dynamics of a unique game mode.
If I wanted the random battles experience, I’d play randoms. I didn’t like that gameplay loop, which is why I quit until enduring confrontation came around. Now that’s randoms again, so I have no reason to continue playing. Thanks for the fun while it lasted.
That poor maryland man. Having to compete with 2 sojuz and an iowa…on the other team it was probably similar what people played. But great that they got rid of the SP system! Definitely op and meta ships will bully less now that they can spawn for free…
At least a bomber chad, but well…with 4 active players per team that match probably ends when the timer runs out. Or all players have fallen asleep and get afk kicked.
I have ruined 2 yamatos … They had fun.
hahaha i wonder here to see this fun 🤣🤣🤣🤣
only 90.000 sl down the drain. peanuts. Its quite easy actually to play ec in a yamato for 3 hours, be top 3 of the team but still come out with negative sl balance. Great. Just great. And now even if you manage to sink a sojuz it basically does nothing. Except for him respawning fully repaired and back on full crew and ammo.
this is the reality now no sense continue support this 💩
It 's been great to see work on making NFEC easier to get into, and it 's very encouraging to hear that it 's popularity has immediately increased, too !
Actually agree with this!
I used to dislike the arcade system, until it was polished and I gave it a try.
It makes much more sense for the Captain (us) to command where to shoot and the gunners and computers to do the calculations, than have the Captain eyeballing where to shoot, hahah.
I therefore stopped playing RB and instead switched to AB, although I’m not a fan of the sped up movement and physics.
The ideal mode for me would be: RB, but with AB’s new aiming system.
I dont have to play a single match of this to know how bad it is. Its just a grinding gamemode now where you will shoot lobotomized bots for hours on end that dont do anything, for absolutely measly rewards in the hope to finally get your next ship. Once you have them all you will realize there is no good gamemode to play them in anymore.
Im not playing a boring gamemode that i dont enjoy to go out with a negative SL balance just because i want to play a Yamato
WHEN THERE WAS A WORKING GAMEMODE BEFORE THAT HAD A COMMUNITY AND JUST NEEDED LOTS OF REFINEMENTS
Yeah, gotta say not a fan of these changes.
Making this effectively a longer, bigger map version of random battles kills the mode for me.
I preferred it over regular battles specifically because it restricted you from just rocking up with a big ship straight away, limiting you to destroyers.
The older version had its flaws (Too many to list here) but it still allowed that variation. It was not uncommon to see random players forming mini-flotillas of things like cruisers and destroyers to take a point. I even saw a guy in a minelayer laying mines all around the harbour.
Unfortunately by making it so everyone can spawn in a big ship straight away you remove that minor restricting dynamic and the unique identity that Naval EC had as a gamemode.
