Changes to Bomber Survivability Feedback and Discussion

That’s gonna stop again when infantry gets officially released lol

Then you explain sheering lol

I wonder why ze germans targetted fuel tanks and weakspots instead of just blowing bombers to pieces with one shot lol. Anyway when I get home we will see wether the gun hitting that b17 is a bk 3.7 or not, PROPERLY

Also BK 3.7 fired at 160-180 rpm, thats 3 rounds per second, which seems to match the rate of KABOOMs very closely at a glance, again, wait till i get back from work, then I can properly tackle this

To be fair, achieving balance is impossible when you’re working off a historical foundation (military aviation wasn’t designed for a fair game)

For this game to be remotely balanced, the planes would either have to be entirely fictional or have fictional specs. But in that case, who would want to play a WWII game that isn’t WWII at all?

oh yea… they are still chasing that rainbow…

what a huge waste of resources instead of just bringing enlisted forward in the years

The whole argument about bombers being able to tank damage without any negative effects is couched in terms of “realism”.

Would you stand next to an R-40 detonation with just aircraft skin and expect to survive unharmed?
Would you expect to take a .50 caliber round to the face and survive?
Would you expect a B-17 to survive a massive fire in both wings and keep flying like nothing happened?

Bomber players don’t want realistic damage models; they want the game to make them immune to gunfire so that the only interaction they have to have with the game is tabbing back into the game to press the spacebar and to press the “next game” button after the rewards screen rolls.

Explain how your fly-by-night AI hallucination math doesn’t agree with real world testing results? How come a 20mm produces a larger hole than you think a 30mm produces?

Can you prove that the bullet in that video was 75mm? Lol
You can’t prove it LOL because it wasn’t 75mm.
You need to know that in military documents, these are reported as '75mm or higher

As seen in the video, the plane stays either over the sea or near the coastline of the island chain, and guess which guns are located on the beaches, LOL.

And you’re gonna tell me ‘but there were only 1 or 2 120mm guns,’ and as everyone knows, when the Japanese saw the war heading toward defeat, they destroyed their artillery just like they did with everything else—heck, there were even concrete emplacements waiting ready for those guns along the coastlines.

Source: Google free right?

Right now I can’t pinpoint the post with that video, but it’s a video of B-17 clearly being repeatdly shot by Bf 109 with single MG151/20 at short range, as MK108 impacts are clearly bigger.

Here is how MK108 impacts look:

https://youtube.com/shorts/0i8poqdmZZQ?is=_YTCSFaiOkUODK0v

and here is a combined MK108/MG151/20 firing with clear difference.
The clip is unfortunately horrible quality, once I find the better quality one (it exists), I’ll post it too.

You’re right, it must have been one of the 25mm AA autocannons instead! My bad.

See? The bomber didn’t completely atomize. It was perfectly fine and made it back to base and everyone onboard lived to the ripe age of 120. Toxic fighter mains are just coping.

LOL This video is documented as being in 75mm or higher, what you’re saying is impossible.

In other words, it’s a 75mm. This is like the 5th time you and the other guy have tried to argue that.

It’s not certain because at that moment, 120mm and 75mm cannons were attacking the planes on the island, so it could be either.
And if the certainty isn’t known, I don’t think it makes much sense to use that as an argument.
Anyway, no matter what I say, you’re going to say it’s 75mm.I don’t know why I’m explaining this to you.

“its a 120mm” source? “I said so”

Pull up the skin thickness charts of those parts they shot vs the skin thickness charts of the b17 you have + the airframe underneath

Until then your out of context posts are irrelevant and im confident in about 4 ish hours from now youre all going to eat your words, you will cry, mald, cope, seethe, and keep spamming the exact 4 pictures over and over, but you will fail to acrually disprove my work. Again.

Itll be absolute cinema
