Changes to Bomber Survivability Feedback and Discussion

You’re hitting on the wingtip every time instead of the actual break point.

Mount only a single Zuni. and aim for the inner engine.

Oops, I missed

Actual break point? You’re the one deliberately missing breakpoints

I dont have an aircraft with zunis unlocked to make custom loadouts with… But as far as I see it, you can shoot the tail and blow it off, shoot the nose and paste the pilot, shoot the wings past the inner engines and blow them off, yet you guys are making it difficult for yourself and trying to prove a point by shooting the strongest part, and then going “See? It didnt die!”

Im gonna shoot a king tiger on the upper plate with an is2, yes it can kill it by shooting the lower plate or the turret cheek or literally anywhere else, but im gonna aim at the upper front plate to prove my point of “It didnt die its broken”

Goofy aah

I was more curious to see what the damage model would actually do tbh :D

Its like a tog 2 butt tanking, they can shoot the engine as much as they want but theres nothing left to break. Now should gaijin add a breakpoint there? Yeah, but its not there, so stop using it as a datapoint when its invalid

The Falcon missile with a mere 1.25kg of explosives in its warhead took out a B-17 with a single one of these hits to the wing section between the engines, not the wingtip. Until that can be replicated, the damage models are wrong.

Falcon missiles only have a 1.25kg warhead?

In-game models have about double that

Seems like you suck at the game bro, lemme break it down

So, shooting dead onto the tail gunner wont break off the tail, it nukes the control surfaces
Shoot the empenage to break the tail, you know, the bit holding the tail on

Shoot past the inner engine, proceeds to shoot 3 times inside the innder engine, past, OUTWARDS

you are literally sabotaging yourself to make a point and we all see through it

The one used in the test was an earlier model than we have, fired from an F-89. Split the wing in two and created a massive fire.

Cool story but until we can replicate things clearly on video it’s fictional

So basically literally shoot past that point where it snapped off

You got a WHOLE BOMBER to shoot at yet you complain when this miniscule section doesnt = instant kill.

Airmeister

Shoot literally anywhere outside of that section thats left + the section thats left still has mortal pilots

Cool story but until we can replicate things clearly on video it’s fictional

My videos are perfectly clear lmao, not my fault your brain cant parse new information

How is that relevant to a Falcon oneshotting a B-17?

Dude it’s NUTSS to see the stuff I complained about for literal years and now it’s rearing it’s head in a way that’s causing everyone to freak out. after all my time for kvetching about .50s. I feel so damn vindicated bro.

Yes, some parts of an aircraft will NOT SNAP NO MATTER WHAT.
A limitation of gaijin’s modeling…

an issue that’s been around for YEARS

But now because you can’t insta-snap bombers anymore, people are complaining about it.
Dude I’m laughing so hard right now.

Dont shift the topic, we’re talking about your skill issue with zunis now, we will get to that later

Preach bro, preach

I think you are expecting too much from the damage model there.

But firing a CRV7 (about 900g warhead) at a B-29 (Cba to faff with a custom thing to get a B-17 to spawn and lower BR aircraft all have 3-6kg warheads)

It usually set fire to one or both engiens on the wing and took out the control surface.

Like, im all for them breaking the damage model down into smaller, more realistic parts, but its clear they arent gunna do that

The breaking point of the wing is right between the two engines. In this situation it WILL snap eventually. The question is how much damage it should take to do it.

In my search for gun camera footage I also saw plenty of aircraft getting hammered by .50s with nothing snapping off.

They are supposed to be more realistic.

Yet you cannot replicate what is clearly documented on video.

Engine fires are put out every time, which is also inaccurate.
