Are you sure? Watch the video again and you can see that your bullets landed in the areas above the MG mark on the tail.
All the bullets either went into the void or hit the engine; it was 5 20mm bullets that damaged the plane.
Shrapnel under 3g does not damage the main wing spars and structure benesth the skin, gaijin said this themselves, so what youre doing with this 40kg distant explosion at most is swiss cheesing the wing, not blowing it off, if that bomber were player controlled it wouldve probably crashed anyway banking horribly to the left, as the b29 ingame has always had a weakness to wing damage anyway (assuming it didnt fall off from 4 .50 cal sized shots) Bot controlled planes dont obey the laws of physics we all know this
It would poke thousands of holes into them, making them less effective. It might blow off the closer ones, but you are not providing mulitple angles of this situation, which makes it harder for me to accurately guess distances.
If the explosion is 15 meters off the wing as well, which it likely is, it would only have a blast pressure of 5.1 PSI, which isn’t all that much to a B-29. That’s only 5 pounds per square inch of pressure for a brief moment. That’s only a little over 5 times the pressure a B-29 would withstand going 220 mph. This is for a brief moment, mind you.

The closest ones do, yes, but not the ones near the fuselage, as you can see in this delayed screenshot, which is a direct indicator that the explosive is losing power over distance. Furthermore, Gaijin’s models aren’t gospel. I’m telling you real numbers, not Gaijin’s.

Btw here’s a subtle detail I noticed: the B-29’s engines catch fire in just 1 or 2 hits, almost like in real life, whereas the B-17’s engines require 4 to 5 hits, just as they did historically.
