Changes to Bomber Survivability Feedback and Discussion

I laugh a lot every time I see it.

These are 20mm.

The clip I posted has some impacts from Mk108 HE and you immediately know it’s not 20mm.
That clip can be found in higher quality but I haven’t been able to locate it so far.

Also long range MK108 spamming doesn’t seem very plausible, but yeah, I guess eith some good will I could see it (though due to distance and lack of proper visual clues it’s impossible to tell), and these being MK103s is completely unrealistic.

Its truly a gem, and UNIRONICALLY what these fighters see when someone hints at a bomber buff, they must be genuinely TERRIBLE players lmfao

Tail cut lose is my #1 favourite kill message

You absolutely love to see it after being hit by the shortest burst of 20mm/30mm guns that has ever been fired

the pics i posted was from a mk108 armed 110 g2 unloading into a b17 and it didnt fall apart even when he got within a distance where you could unironically flip off the gunners. And not only that I posted closeup pictures where you can see exactly what kind of damage those mk108s actually left, and it matched up PERFECTLY to my damage calculations and illustrations

->bomber that cost more than the manhatten project to develop
->dies to single 20mm

So the deathstar is our most expensive things ever and we left this little vent in it for it to get onesho-

Lol

And this guy is by far a better marksman than even the fighters. He’s making shots that match his graph and, as expected, the wing breaks LOL

Unironically all they have to do is not shoot the bomber in the literal strongest spot by design and theyll kill it, should be easy if they can hit other maneuvering fighters vs a big fast slow bomber… Unless ofcourse

Not sure how reliable the chat-ban indicator on statshark is, but it does mention one for him

I was chatbanned before, and it did show up, and dissapear the day of, I think its pretty reliable. Anyway back to the topic at hand…

Bombers arent legos. stop trying to convince people they are, we got the docs, gaijin has the docs, we got video clips, we got math equations, we have literally everything we need. If gaijin went and scrounged for documents, and found they were legos, they would’ve given us something like “abrams has no DU in the hull” instead of “we’re buffing bombers because they’re too fragile according to our sources”

Even after 17 consecutive 20mm hits, this B-17’s horizontal stabilizer still retained enough integrity for the shells to keep detonating against it; in other words, not even such a volume of fire was enough to tear a stabilizer off completely.

It’s likely that with smaller blast effect from a 20mm AN-M3 (5.6 g of explosive filler compared to 18.6 g in Minengeschoss), at least twice as many hits would be needed to achieve the same destruction. Let alone if it were on the wings!

Now, it’s surprising that in the live damage model, a single 4 g blast is all it takes to tear off not just the stabilizer, but the entire empennage. If we’ve been accustomed to this kind of exaggerated damage for so long, It’s only natural players will find it odd when a bomber keeps flying after a dozen 20 mm hits.
