I mean, while you have a natural right to complain about AIM-54 if you were flying a J35XS and F-104S.ASA, other aircraft don’t, especially there are some aircraft that has modern digital RWR.

The issue with the F-14A and B at 12.7-13.0 now aren’t necessarily them having bad missiles, but for the A, its absolutely atrocious RWR, and the flight performance for both. The B not so much but the A is by comparison really bad. It’s basically a worse F-15A in every way.
Yeah, true, I’ve been using the C variant like a lance, just keeping them, and waiting for the combat to start, and firing them at someone 20km out.

It was wiping out entire teams, and putting jets inferior jets in the defensive.
Now it has to fight jets that can actually deal with what the F-14 has to offer.
It was at a BR where it literally saw downtiers every single match.
It literally wiped only the bomber who ignored the RWR warnings.
Problem is like most premium jet spammers currently, they don’t try to kill the player, but use it as B-17, or are sent back to the hangar by the AIM-54 before they do base bombing. In this case, the problem is not with the F-14 but with those premium spammers who skipped for learning how to play Jet games without bombing bases.
It is not fault of F-14 players that these premium spammers are dumb.
Honestly, it is depressing to see players base bombing with Mirage F1 and F-104S TAF, or even MiG-23ML.
It was a mistake to put all the F-14s up and not improve their IR missiles.
It dominated the high ground, no one could hang with it in BVR save the MiG 29 with the R-27ER
However, you could still force WVR against F-14 players unless you are not on brick.
Anyway both F-14s should have gone to a higher BR because they were pretty decent aircraft even on WVR, but need a better IRAAM to be as competitive as the aircraft sitting in the same BR.
The only way for the current F-14B to beat the Su-27/J-11 is to pray they don’t see the RWR or force rate fighting against them.
You know when the A5C is firing magics at 10.7 and was at 10.0 for what 3 years, where were you? The yak 38 is still firing R60s at korean / vietnam war era jets, where are you complaining about that? People don’t seem to care how mig 23s are know virtually untouchable, just another fine example of gaijin giving soviet era equipment more handholding.
It was killing more than just people who weren’t paying attention, hence the raise in BR.
It’s not just the AIM-54, the AIM-7s perform amazingly.
Who’s dying to AIM-54 missiles if they pay attention to RWR?
Everyone knows that to die on AIM-54 when you are paying attention to the RWR, you have to be intentional.
Same goes with SARH missiles unless you are part of furballs.
Also, depending on conditions, the AIM-7F/M is the only missile that can dodge dynamically at its BR range, not included abusing multipathing.

A5C is overtiered and dead. You have M5, and M3C and F-8E with magics at 10.0.
the f8e doesn’t have magics and its at 10.7, oh wait nvm somehow the French F8-E is at 10.0 and the U.S F8-E is at 10.7
the downside to the F-8E(FN) is that is doesnt have countermeasures or an rwr
