Challenger 3 (Pre-production)

To explain properly (as others have decided just to moan, which is starting to feel like the norm), what we have in game is the Challenger 3 Technical Demonstrator, which was Rhinemetall’s cheap pitch for the Challenger 2 Life Extension Programme and the prototype provided for selection testing against the Black Night. This Challenger 3 is the more expensive bid made by Rhinemetall for the programme, it features a lot of the subsystems of the TD, but features expansive changes including a new turret with new armour, reworked & thickened hull armour, & some of the features pitched for the TD but not installed (LWS etc). It was this bid that got the CR2 LE programme renamed to Challenger 3.
In game it will essentially be a CR3TD with better turret and hull armour, and possibly a better round.
(Engine power could go either way, as there’s a lot of conflicting information about that).

Explanation above.

unfortunately I do not have much knowledge about the Challenger tank other than some pictures and that it is supposed to be the heaviest and most armored tank in the world, but what is in the game is something else contrary to that, and from the pictures above it is similar to what is in the game, so thank you for the clarification and I really hope that this company will fix this tank

I feel we would have to many TDs or demonstrators in game. We should have this OR the 3 TD we already have since they are both demonstrators. Not both

I think you’ve missunderstood me, the CR3 (P) this suggestion is for is not a demonstrator, it’s the prototype for the production CR3s.
To draw comparison to the Type 10 MBT in the Japanese tree, the CR3 TD is the TKX (P), this (CR3 PP) is the TKX, the eventual serial production CR3 would be the Type 10. The CR3 being suggested here would be significant better armoured than the CR3 TD.

+ We don’t actually know what exactly the production CR3s are going to be yet

A lot of people get confused between the CR3TD and the CR3P.

I made a timeline of the Challenger 2/3 variants. I think most of it is pretty correct, I may have missed things though.

We have the 2019 Challenger 2 LEP (3TD) ingame, this is a proposal for the 2024 Challenger 3 Prototype

We have the ones with a little blue dash

This makes more sense. Whats the 2022 C2 HAAIP??

Er either engine upgrade or sight upgrade

Was a ch2 upgrade to get it ready for ch3 i believe

Basically a final upgrade to the Challenger 2’s partially in expectation for them to be converted to Challenger 3 standard. Also known as “Challenger 2 CSP”

Upgrades for example:

  • HAAIP (improved powerpack) - Possible 1500hp depending on who you want to listen to.
  • Gen 3 thermals
  • Applique hull armour (in some cases)

It is essentially a culmination of recent Challenger 2 upgrades before they are fully converted to the Challenger 3. Its more of an unoffical name for the most heavily upgraded Challenger 2’s to date, with upgrades from recent years in a variety of areas.

New engine and suspension, iirc also transmission but don’t hold me to it.
CR3 doesn’t touch that.

NATO and even some Soviet tanks have had tank autotrack since the 60s. This isn’t even much of an aimbot compared
