Challenger 3 (Pre-production)

+1 for the CR3 with all the features it currently lacks

So not the first to comment or vote on this forum but at least happy to be rested and able to read this forum

Sorry I had a long work day, but isn’t this tank in the game?

No. The piece of shit we have in-game is a “tech demonstrator” and does have anything that this CR3 prototype has, the CR3 TD we have doesn’t exist and constantly gets nerfed, almost as much as the Type 89 has gotten nerfed at this point

Cr3 td is nothing more then the ch2 Lep

Not even the LEP. It’s just a CLIP with different sights, armour, silhouette and more ammo

Clup was something different no, as it is the lep tho saying that both the TD and Black Night are the LEPs

The CR3 TD we have in game is basically what the CLIP would have been if you had taken that exact prototype and put it in service, all it has is the gun, the CLIP was to test the L/55 on the Challenger 2, the Challenger 3 (the one that enters service) is going to be a combination of all the Challenger 2 optional upgrades in 1 package

Hopefully this one wont be using the old old CR2 damage model like the TD is.

Also will be nice that some salty main of another nation cant get this ones 1500hp engine nerfed from what one guy in a pr interview said

Plus another APS is very welcome in a world of AGMs. Black Night saves me so often

a mismash of several CR3 prototypes is what we have in game atm, this is what the British army is actually getting (for the most part)

Just like the GTD-1500, only in their minds.

don’t we already have this in game

So whats the difference between this pre-production and the normal challenger 3. Isn’t the pre-production the challenger 3 TD we already have in game???

I know once all challenger 3’s are ready they will be fitted with APS and smaller version of the dragon fire, im guessing thats what you mean by pre-production, before all these things are added???

To clarify, this suggestion refers to the prototypes 1-8 we have been seeing recently, it comes equipped with full sub systems, blow out panels, improved armour, including anything additional used for trials.

To explain properly (as others have decided just to moan, which is starting to feel like the norm), what we have in game is the Challenger 3 Technical Demonstrator, which was Rhinemetall’s cheap pitch for the Challenger 2 Life Extension Programme and the prototype provided for selection testing against the Black Night. This Challenger 3 is the more expensive bid made by Rhinemetall for the programme, it features a lot of the subsystems of the TD, but features expansive changes including a new turret with new armour, reworked & thickened hull armour, & some of the features pitched for the TD but not installed (LWS etc). It was this bid that got the CR2 LE programme renamed to Challenger 3.
In game it will essentially be a CR3TD with better turret and hull armour, and possibly a better round.
(Engine power could go either way, as there’s a lot of conflicting information about that).

Explanation above.

unfortunately I do not have much knowledge about the Challenger tank other than some pictures and that it is supposed to be the heaviest and most armored tank in the world, but what is in the game is something else contrary to that, and from the pictures above it is similar to what is in the game, so thank you for the clarification and I really hope that this company will fix this tank

I feel we would have to many TDs or demonstrators in game. We should have this OR the 3 TD we already have since they are both demonstrators. Not both

I think you’ve missunderstood me, the CR3 (P) this suggestion is for is not a demonstrator, it’s the prototype for the production CR3s.
To draw comparison to the Type 10 MBT in the Japanese tree, the CR3 TD is the TKX (P), this (CR3 PP) is the TKX, the eventual serial production CR3 would be the Type 10. The CR3 being suggested here would be significant better armoured than the CR3 TD.

+ We don’t actually know what exactly the production CR3s are going to be yet
