Challenger 3 MBT - Technical Data and Discussion

You guys are overly complicating something that can be changed with one number

change it to 0.2 and you have a 5s reload. Every tank has a unique independent value.

And Voila: every L/55A1 armed tank now turned into a helicopter and immediatly explodes when trying to fire the cannon /j

its the same MG251 cannon so its not linked to the guns

wait it does? do we have any images of it?

Dont ask me that guy said tests are being made

It’s the tank, it’s got nothing to do with real IRL info and more about making Israel competitive again (not that it was really ever competitive)

I think the point being made was that the reload isn’t inherent to the vehicle family and can be changed on a vehicle-by-vehicle basis as needed

what? I never said anything about IRL info, if you look at what it was in response to you would see that I was proving reloads weren’t tied to a weapon and were instead tied to the tank

tbh tho all these tanks getting a 5 second reload has been a nerf to the challenger 2s since before that was their really only selling point, and they had a tiny ready rack to make up for that fact but now there are 3 mbts with the same reload and more then triple the ready rack. Not the mention all of these tanks being far faster and having better ammo

No cause people have argued with me about the same thing I said so I wanted to clear that with everyone

Why not make the CR 3TD’s reload 5 second and CR 2’s reload 4-4.5 seconds

yeah thats what I was thinking but who knows with gaijin

Not sure if this is new or not, but this is confirmation that Challenger 3 is getting DM63, DM83 and DM11. I think he also implied that Challenger 2 has commander thermals, but only when the commander has control of the gun. IE, he has thermals through the gunners sight. So if gaijin ever make that an option when the commander takes control, it would be nice to know.

edit, that DM83 APFSDS being in a clear tube is a pretty good way for any of the advanced measuring people to get some measurements in and give them to gaijin, for possible implementation.

I already reported that and they threw it out because they don’t model it in game: Community Bug Reporting System

IIRC they already concluded that the round in the clear tube isn’t DM83 and is just there for illustration purposes.

You didn’t name the type of tea in the tank, it’s the most crucial part of the chally.

CR3 version of the gun does have a separate model name, differentiating it from the standard Leopard-configured L55A1

yeag, it looks like 2 training rounds and a DM63 cutaway

God not that video again.
Tdlr he is lying thats not dm83. Dm83 just finished development.
He uses a dm53/dm63 showcase piece to “advertise” the future main ammunition the dm83

wasnt aware it had already been posted and the fact its not dm83 was clarified already. :)

The lastest Army Recognition on the CR3’s progress (published 17th Oct) states the horsepower of the CV12-9A at 1500hp

Not an official source of course, but still interesting that such a new article is saying 1500hp
