Challenger 3 MBT - Technical Data and Discussion

That hole on challenger 2 is for the backup auxiliary sight.

I think the armor thickness of the turret has increased

Thicker than CR2

whats thicker?

hook i guess

I dont think any part of the hull is thicker apart from the upper front plate, which is obviously significantly thicker due to the new armour arrays.

However, those six little circular protruding pieces are new, I wonder if they could be used to mount external armour. They could also be part of the fixings for the new internal armour as they seem to align perfectly with its angle.

Please. Stop overanalyzing everything. Once we will know more we will. Thickness of lift hooks, towing hooks or armour cover is nothing.

old cr2?

It would be nice for us to get the more modern Challenger 2 as seen in the first ingame ingame, mostly because it has that applique UFP armour which could probably make it stop most Russian rounds

Hope to see it with either EuroTrophy or Iron Fist-Light Decoupled (IF-LD) for the production variant. The IF-LD would probably be the most effective in-game as seen on the Black Knight compared to the Merkava IVM.

judging by the sight and the side of the turret, yes
