Due to differing operational scenarios irl, the Challenger 2 OES crews would be instructed to remove the side era, i believe that we should be given this option in the game to reduce weight not unlike many other tanks which can simply ‘uninstall’ their era protection. This would bring the vehicle into the same category as the Challenger 2, 2F and TES.
