Yea, it should be 100 to the back, moved to the back a little so it is centered, and 100 plate at the front or something like that
Angled with a turret wiggle it could probably exceed 600mm KE equivalent.
I will be fine if they made it to the around 450mm total, so considering it takes 1/3 of your tanks face its armor counts
Nah, each plate is ≈ 50mm, but the rotor itself is ≈300mm
Well thats still 400 excluding the trunnion holes and th titanium face plates on the front right?
100mm at 56° + complex internals of triangle + 50mm WHa + 300mm CHa + 50mm WHa(?).
Idk if this is the right place to ask but I will anyway:
Could/should the Chally 2 Black Night and Chally 2E get Dorchester? As far as I know there’s no reason they wouldn’t be able to use it, and it would at least add some protection and some is better than none
how it is right now it wouldn’t really make difference
Theres nothing physically preventing them from mounting the kits as far as I know but the Black Night demonstrator was never equipped with it and 2E was offered for sale before the kits were mounted to service vehicles.
Game wise I expect since 2F and TES are already 11.7 they dont want tanks with other advantages like BK’s APS or 2E’s 1500hp to get the same armor kits and become straight up upgrades (even if they basically already are because the armor kits are the closest thing to useless)
Not sure if you meant to say BN and 2E, but the 2F and TES are 11.3.
Just like the Enforcer (remote weapon station seen on the 2F and TES), and its chengable weaponery. There is nothing stopping all Cr2 from having it with .50cal mounted on it. But…
50 cal, with or without the remote weapon system would be a meaningful buff without doing anything to BR
Considering ALL of the M1’s and the Soviet tanks have Browning’s and NSVT 12.7mm HMG’s respectively it would be nice if Britain finally got something to take down the Ka-50 Heli rushers, SPAA’s and assorted light tanks other than a .30 cal pea shooter.
It would be, but i do not think UK based Cr2 mounted 12.7 without the Enforcer, i might be wrong.
It sure would be, that’s why i take Cent 5/1 over Cent 3 and why i take 2E just after BN. With bearly any change they make playing the thing a little more fun.
2E does I think, but I cant think of any meaningful reason why not.
IIRC they used it as a method of essentially making up for the lack of a CITV.
That is why i told UK based. 2E was an export variant. And i simply never found a info about normal Cr2 mounting .50 without Enforcer, as enforcer started getting deployed on most Cr2.
It was more like giving loader ability to use the mg without endangering, and providing additional awareness with independent tv/ir camera
Ah… I think this is going to be one of those situations where it probably could but never did due to circumstance and therefore will be denied because of that. Its stupid. Im sure if they needed to deploy with a 50 cal on the roof, they would have done, probably just that hte 7.62mm was better suited for its role
