Challenger 2 needs to be brought to developers attention

Need documents to side with it

Sadly, yes. Well, if you get the tank museum to sayif i it is a spall liner or no that might do the trick

Question!

I just realised the 2F modification for Challenger 2 (2F) adds 5,000 kg, even though the only difference is the change from ERA to composite in the LFP!

Am I missing something, or is the composite module really 5,000 kg? In that case, is it not a bit absurd that it provides a mere 60mm against KE while weighting 5 tons?

They did this to Ariete too. WAR kit provides 14mm additional kinetic protection on the turret face and now weighs 5.5 tons

In 2 (2F)’s case, I believe the 5,000 Kg figure should be for the WHOLE pack, not just the LFP add-on…

The issue is, they are adding those 5,000 Kg not to the base CR2, but to the one that already includes all the side add-on armor.

Like, it should be:
62.5t + 5t = 67.5t

Not:
64 + 5 = 69

Since the 64 figure already implies the base 62.5 + 1.5 side add-on armor.

The turret left rear housed an ammunition compartment sealed off from the crew by an armoured bulkhead with a sliding door. 120 mm rounds such as the L23A1 APFSDS could be vertically stacked in rows.

You know the composite that is inside the turret cheek? Something very simmilar is in that block. But Gaijin says gaijin, they ignore the composite part and focus on nera, giving the composite horrible KE multipliers, for example 0.3 taken from non other than 2F we talk about.
What i would love, is to ask if someone can extract the 3d model of the thank, that has all the parts on it checkable and named just like in the code, so we can see what is where?

Take in mind all the other things, like bird table, ECM boxes, bars and all that happend inside the tank.

6 rounds? No no no, we are going with number of charges in the bin at the back of crew compartment. No less.

I’m still doing more digging

And I am the best in it.

ZA-35, but i still need Ajax

Ajax, if correctly modelled, will make the crew go yellow, then orange, then make the driver need to be replaced part way through the battle.

Lolol.

Still want it though, even if they force “Your engine noise” slider to max if you spawn it🤣

pahaha, force max volume, deafen enemy players and injure theirbcrew by driving too close

New feature, percussive weaponry. Will over pressure any vehicle you get within 10m of by the sound volume alone.

A few questions about the SR(L) 4026

Where does the power to weight figure comes from? A 19 kw/ton leads to a 1580 hp engine.
About the rounds carried, if we consider all the charges being of equal length on the game model we end up with 42 charges, same as Leopard 2 (the turret center bin goes from 16 to 8 charges). With that we could subtract the 8 projectiles that are behind/left of the driver and infront of the gunner.

Something mentioned on both images is the 500mm KE at 20º, but while the first image lists it as SR(L) the second limits that to the CR1-200. @Flame2512 said that the CR1-400 is the one fitted with CR2 turret. As it is listed as “yes”, the frontal arc that offers those 500mm KE is bigger than 20º. From that i will drawn two conclusions: 1.Considering a ±23.5º frontal arc (same as Leopard 2 from first image), the 500mm KE is met because of the turret side armour (200mm at 66.5º), not the turret face; 2.If the frontal arc is greater than ±23.5º it means that the turret side armour exceeds 200mm KE, even if the table lists it simply as “yes”. That could also be applied to the 500mm requirement (listed as yes but ends up exceeding it)

And lastly, is the DU armour on the M1A1 the only reason it went from 460mm to 650mm? If not, could it also be applied to CR2? Would explain how it went from the 500~600mm of the SR(L) to the 720mm we have ingame.

The 720mm we have in game is guess work by gaijin nothing else as we simply don’t know the actual turret protection values.
